I don't know much about Pope Benedict so I cannot express any kind of opinion with any degree of credibility.But John Paul II was an exceptionally good man...and Pope.
OTOH,everything I read about the current Pope is in direct contradiction to what the nuns taught us in the 50's and 60's.

I would imagine there are a good number of pope’s in Roman Catholicism history that many modern day Roman Catholics would have a problem with.
