You know who you are. You are the person other people tip toe around when it comes to discussing current events or religion. You are the person who can spend hours devouring scripture or news with equal vigor, pointing out last days events to anyone who would listen to you. You are semi-shunned at church. You are disinvited from church socials, because you are just too intense and narrow-minded. You are called a conspiracy theorist or a Jesus Freak behind your back. You are always going on about the Lords return and that Rapture thingy. Admit it. You are one of them, one of those prophecy nuts.
Isnt it ironic how that we live in the most prophetically active times since the days of Christ, and yet the world has somehow reached the pinnacle of its skepticism and cynicism? Now, I am not even talking about the unbelieving, Christ rejecting world. They have always been skeptical and mocking of our faith. But it would seem that the trend these days within the majority of professing Christendom, is to join in on the mocking of those who believe in a Pre-Tribulation Rapture and literal understanding of future events as laid out in the Bible.
When Christ walked the earth, the dominant world super-power at the time was Rome, and they worshipped the gods such as Diana and Jupiter. Furthermore, Jesus Himself performed hundreds of miracles, the biggest of which was bringing Lazarus back from the dead, and then resurrecting Himself, after the most brutal, public, and painful death a person could have
being publicly flogged, then nailed naked to a cross to suffocate to death. No faking that. And yet, the nation was not convinced.

Thank you for having Acts 2:38-39 in your tagline. I’m modifying my FR homepage from time-to-time and should have included that excerpt earlier. I just updated it. I’ll get more done one of these days, LOL.
Your question sounds like pure bait

If you disagree, fine, but it is not necessary to troll me.

Or because someone told them that if they prayed a certain prayer, mouthing the words, they were saved. Without the need for repentance and confession, so they think they are.
“But Rick Warren says we should not discuss eschatology”
No, I feel like every outdoorsman should have a passing knowledge of that. That’s just hunting 101.
Agreed.
Though in non-hunting situations I prefer to eschew eschatology.
LOL, probably will. 👎
Well they ARE saved by that simple act of that prayer. You slander “mouthing some words”, but if someone sincerely accepts that Jesus is that son of god, and that died on the cross for their sins, they are indeed a Christian.
No “confession”, or mouthing some repentance prayer while fumbling with beads is required.
Easy peasy. Of course, some poseurs in Rome say that’s not nearly enough.
Good lord a mercy, don’t CHEW the scatology. Only indians did that... I think only for ceremonies.
Romans 10:9-13 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame. For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
If someone does it just for what they can get out of God, and their heart is not right, then the words will not save them.
So no, I am not slandering verbally praying to accept Christ.
I teacher I had used to say we shouldn’t get so caught up with the “sweet-by-and by” that we forget about the “nasty-here-and-now”. ;o)
We KNOW Jesus will return one day for His own - there is no denying this is a Biblical teaching. Those who would scoff at other believers who hold to this view are just plain wrong. Regardless if Christ returns pre, mid or post Tribulation (and I strongly favor the pre), there WILL be a return, there WILL be a time of tribulation that the world has YET to see and there WILL be a thousand year reign of Christ upon the earth before the final Great White Throne Judgment after which He creates a new heavens and new earth where righteousness will dwell for eternity. I hope it happens in my lifetime - and I think there are more signs now than ever before that it is imminent - but I will continue to love and serve the Lord and anticipate His return every day. We should live every day as if it were our last - one day, it will be.
You ain’t ‘trolled’.
I was trying to indicate that most ANYTHING can get one group of Christians to have problems with another group of them.
I guess I knew what I was thinking, but was too terse in typing it out.
Sorry.
Myself; I prefer to eschew cashews than peanuts
