Inside the White House Bible Study group
BBC News ^ | 04/08/2018 | Owen Amos

For the first time in at least 100 years, the US Cabinet has a bible study group. What do they learn? What does Donald Trump make of it? And why aren't women allowed to teach?

Every Wednesday, some of the world's most powerful people meet in a conference room in Washington DC to learn about God.

The location can't be revealed - the Secret Service won't allow it - but the members can.

Vice-President Mike Pence. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. Education Secretary Betsy DeVos. Energy Secretary Rick Perry. Attorney General Jeff Sessions. The list goes on.

In total, 10 cabinet members are "sponsors" of the group. Not everyone attends every meeting - they are busy people - but they go if they can.

Meetings last between 60 and 90 minutes, and members are free to contact the teacher after-hours. So who is the man leading the United States' most-influential bible study?

Step forward Ralph Drollinger, a seven-foot tall basketball pro turned pastor. Or, as the 63-year-old describes himself: "Just a jock with some bad knees

Drollinger grew up in La Mesa, a suburb of San Diego, California. As a child, he rarely went to church - "Probably half a dozen times," he says - and didn't get far with the Bible.

"I always promised myself I'd read it," he says. "But every time I tried, it didn't make a whole lot of sense to me."

In his last year of high school, after a basketball game, some cheerleaders invited him to bible study. He went, and his world changed.

They are not “Old Testament Laws,” they are as James said, “The Perfect Law of Liberty.”

Are you trying to adhere and keep the 614 or so OT Laws in anticipation those will save you?

I take it you don’t believe in the Resurrection of Christ?

I fully believe in the death burial and resurrection of Yeshua, the only biologically begotten Son of Yehova (he was definitely not the “cristos”).

Is that sufficient?

Again, how do you define sin?

If He’s not the Christ then we’re not going to be in agreement on much else.

The “Christ” is the Roman Emperor’s mortal Sungod.

Is that who you worship?

Again, How do you define sin?

Unless you define sin in the same way as the apostles did, you are not following the Gospel that the apostles preached.

The greatest sin you could commit is noted below from John.

If you don't recognize Jesus as the Christ then I cannot help you.

1Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; 3and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world. 1 John 1:1-3 NASB

John did not call Yeshua “Jesus Christ,” the Greek translators did.

I recognize the one that the apostles did.

We have to live as he did to claim that we believe in him; otherwise we are as John stated “liars” and the truth is not in us.

Again, how do you define sin?

Your argument is with the Spirit who moved John, and the other writers of the NT, to call Jesus the Christ.

The spirit did not move anyubody to call our savior the sungod.

Are you really so captivated by the paganism?

Yeshua is the Messiach, not the man who became God, but God who became man.

Were the apostles right, or is the paganized ‘church’ right?

As you cannot agree that Jesus is the Christ we really don’t have a common point of reference in which to discuss other issues of faith.

Yeshua is the messiach! The only begotten Son of Yehova.

The “christ” is the now dead sungod of Easter fame (Husband and son of Ishtar/Semiramis)

How do you define sin if the apostles were wrong?

And what makes you believe they could be wrong?

Do not continue to ask the same question over and over again.

Read the guidelines for the RF, you know where to find then.

And stop making personal comments that qualify as mindreading.

I’m getting tired of having to keep removing your posts.
