I don't have faith in any particular church, although I'm a Catholic. The church is there only to guide and provide a place of community worship. The problem is a lot of people believe what is comfortable to them, and not necessarily the truth. The church is there to remind them of the truth but too often it just wants its member to feel good about themselves in order to keep them. Every spirit must be tested, but you can't test your own if you won't be true to our own self.

About Moses in the Bible (yes this is off theme), it says he grave is unknown, and no one saw him die since he went off alone. He was also seen in the transfiguration talking to Elijah. This gives me the idea (an hypothesis only) that he also didn't die, but was carried to heaven like Elijah. In any case, we are all destined for two things: death, and then judgement. What you want to do is make sure your name is written in the Book of Life. So don't lose faith.

bttt so I don't forget. It's awful to be so conflicted at this point of my life. I think issues I've had might have affected my inability to believe in my heart that God loves me like some people are able to so confidently claim, especially those who have been loved, maybe moreso by a believer. Like "I have always known that God loves me" A Catholic therapist I won't name.

Intellectually I definitely believe it. But even with love, it's hard to keep it pure and unconditional and as the bible says "without guile". The latter doesn't seem to be emphasized enough or that people have enough introspection to see their true motives in things they do for good or for ill.
