I have advised several of my students that they may not want to include their strong leadership involvement in Christian college groups on their resumes. While they have developed practical leadership that most other college grads don’t have, they don’t want to hurt themselves by alerting any prejudiced HR people. I advise them to talk about their involvement as being in a campus “service” club, and stress how they helped in the leadership development of other students’ lives.

“they may not want to include their strong leadership involvement in Christian college groups on their resumes.”

When I ran a multinational company’s design and support engineering department I was expecting a resume from somebody I knew was qualified. After a time, when I hadn’t gotten it, I called the man. He told me that he had sent it and, when he hadn’t heard back, called HR and verified that they had it. I went to HR and found he had been eliminated for his Christian affiliations. I couldn’t even get them to bring him in for an interview. It was against their “diversity” policy. Now, having read the policy I argued that it was not. Turns out there is what the policy says, which is, apparently, different from what it “means.”
