Give to Caesar what is Caesars
Give to God what is Gods
If you follow Jesus, you support Trump.
If you are “religious” person pretending to be Christian you arrogantly presume to judge him instead.
The alternative to Trump is a groups of people pushing for Government paid for Abortion on demand. They would create polices that would result in millions of more abortions around the world.
If the overly religious supposed “Movement Conservatives” think God is more disgusted with Trumps sinful past then their indirect support for a culture that mass murders the innocents, they have a large surprise coming to them
I think that is more relevant than the verse quoted by Mr. Thomas, because the "two masters" alluded to in that part of the scripture are assumed to be on the same plane.
With that said, I certainly hope no one is literally worshipping Donald Trump, or thinks that Jesus Christ is the president of the United States.
“Render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s, and unto God, what is God’s”
Sounds like Christ himself answers such a question about how it is NOT a case of ‘serving two masters’.
I disagree with Cals premise. Christians arent following Trump. We may have voted for him, but beyond that.....no.
This article is a bit ridiculous.
We were presented with two options, back in November 2016:
1) President Donald Trump
2) President Hillary Clinton.
We were offered:
1) A patriot with a sketchy personal background and uncertain principles
2) A communist traitor with a background of extreme corruption, pathological dishonesty, and murder.
Anybody who had trouble making that choice is too stupid to be allowed to vote.
False choice.
Dear Cal,
It is none of your business who evangelicals vote for.
Trump isn’t my master and I don’t bow to him:-)
Good comment and i agree but i do not see that anyone is putting Trump in Gods place, i think they just believe Trump
will follow God if anyone will.
I don’t remember “the mantle” ever being placed on the shoulders of the magic Negro, even with all the news fawning over him, as it was, by a Negro pastor, no less.
I don’t recall any other President in my lifetime ever being talked about as ‘biblical Cyrus’.
Sometimes, Cal, you should allow yourself the luxury of an unexpressed thought. Perhaps Hillary is more to your Christian taste.
It’s a stupid question. Evangelical Christians who support Trump, because they support his policies and appointments, do not “serve” Trump, and Trump is not their “master”. In the sense of who serves whom, Trump is serving the people (on behalf of those who elected him), no persons are morally or politically “serving” Trump.
Of course, these same liberal idiots worshipped Obama and Hitlery.
Ignore this article.
“Low” Cal has always been a NeverTrumper.
Here's a t-shirt for Cal Thomas:
Mr. Thomas, Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. He died for my sins, and overcame death for my salvation. He always was, is, and forever will be. Donald J. Trump is the hired help. I do not “serve” him in any capacity. In 2-6 years, he will have no power whatsoever. From dust he came, and to dust he will return. Can you understand the difference between these two people?
We just had a Mass at our home. We invited our good friend (I’ve known her for over 60 years; she’s 88), a most-devout Missouri-Synod Lutheran, who talks and talks and talks about Jesus (she left tracts on our table!), her family, and finally Donald J. Trump; she loves him.
So after Mass today, after showing us a couple black and whites of her sisters she had tucked away in her purse, she walked into the kitchen to talk to the presiding priest, and my husband glanced over and smiled at me (I cannot really hear) and mouthed the words, “Caroline is talking about Trump!”
What a hoot! Smile, live on and pray!
He was known to have a wondering eye.
