The Uniqueness of Male and Female...
https://billrandles.wordpress.com/2018/05/27/the-uniqueness-of-male-and-female/ ^ | 05-26-18 | Bill Randles

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. (Genesis 2:7)

In all of the rest of Creation, the LORD God spoke and it was. Creation by Fiat, The Lord said…”Let there be Trees, fish, beasts, domestic animals, etc.” . But when He made man, The Most High got down in the clay, and formed with his own hands the marvelous body of the first man, Adam.

Then he did something completely intimate, something very close to ‘mouth to mouth’ , He breathed into his very nostrils the Spirit of Life. (Who do you let breath into your nostrils?).

Man is unique, He is different from all of the rest of Creation, which seems to have been brought into being to serve his needs and to make him comfortable in a suitable habitation, by the merciful Creator.

But if Man is unique, what is Woman? She is totally special, and was brought into being in an eve more intimate way.

And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed (Genesis 2:18-25).

The first “not good” pronounced by the LORD God on any aspect of His creation, occurred before the Fall of man. Therefore, it had nothing to do with Satan, sin or evil. God’s plan was not yet complete, for the LORD God had purposed that man was not to be a solitary actor. It was not good that the man was alone. God would make for him a help meet (suitable and complimentary) for him.

This need for marital companionship was seemingly underscored by the divinely assigned task of naming all of the animals. Obviously, none of the beautiful creatures, as unique and interesting as they were, could possibly meet the need of the man for a life companion.

How does God turn a “not good” into a “Good”?

The LORD God did something about the problem that looks a lot like death and resurrection.

God put Adam into a deep sleep, that He might perform a kind of surgery upon him. The first human blood was shed here, for God removed from the first man a side, (not a rib as the KJV says), but a side in the Hebrew. He took a side out of Adam’s flesh, to form a woman from Adam’s side. Then the LORD God had to close up the flesh of Adam. (Was this the first scar?)

The woman, who came out of Adam’s side, was different from Adam, but she was complimentary to him. Both of them comprise the image of God, for it is written, “Male and female created He them in His Image . . .”. But the woman was fashioned in a different and more refined way than the man. Man was formed out of the “dust of the earth”, the soil. But woman was fashioned out of the side of man, refined and refashioned soil.

Even the order of Creation is significant. Man was created first, then woman. The woman was formed as a help suitable to the man. Centuries later when the apostle Paul was teaching the church, he referred to the order of Creation as a reason why leadership in the church should primarily be male.

But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve (1 Timothy 2:12-13).

Men and women are equal but different, according to the Word of God. Gender is not a mere human construct, as the spirit of this evil age insists. Male and female are, in fact, God assigned roles, based upon the mode and order of Creation. The deliberate repudiation of these roles is one of the ultimate expressions of the world’s final rebellion against God Himself.

As Adam came out of his deep sleep, he stood there before God, with the scar in his side, waiting to be presented by the LORD God, with the first woman–a creature of astonishing beauty and grace, no doubt.

This particular scene in the Scripture, foreshadows the final triumph, for the ultimate Groom also has a scar in His side, and awaits the time when the Father presents the Bride, the Lamb’s wife, the body of the Messiah, the church, purchased by His blood.

Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed (Genesis 2:23-25).

There is a wedding at very near the beginning of the Bible, and a wedding at the end of it. The union of man and wife is the fundamental human relationship. Before any other relationship–father/son, brother/brother, or brother/sister, friend/friend, employer/employee–the fundamental and primal relationship is husband/wife.

This first wedding is of prophetic significance, because the original groom, who had a scar in his side, from which his wife was taken, foreshadows the ultimate Bridegroom, Jesus, out of whose side blood and water poured forth when they pierced Him, whilst He was paying the price for His bridal church, (which He purchased from sin with His own blood).

Centuries later the apostle Paul would reveal to us by divine revelation, something of what Adam had been given a glimpse of on that hopeful day,

For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church (Ephesians 5:31-32).

The mystery of marriage is that it is, in itself, a sign that points to a greater reality– the love of the Messiah for His church. The word that God used when He said that He formed the woman out of Adam’s side, is the same word that will be used to describe Cain building a city. We will see in Genesis chapter 4 that in rebellion against God, Cain built a city of rebellion. Enoch, (means “Inauguration”), a “New Start” without God, for all of those who wish to leave the presence of the Lord and to make their own life on their own terms.

But God has built a bride for Adam, and He has been building a bridal city for the Messiah, the Bride, the Lamb’s wife, which is a “bridal city” of God,

And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb’s wife. And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal (Revelation 21:9-11).

Can’t and wont answer the question, huh?

Do you have and estimate as to how many times you'll play this game until the RM gets tired of your immaturity and shuts you down yet again?

The apparitions that Roman Catholics cling to and believe, in some cases over Scripture, have a common theme:

OBEY me!!!

I offered my Mass today towards the souls of the deceased service members who didn’t come home.

I also prayed a rosary for them.

The New Testament stands in opposition to Roman Catholic doctrine on this issue...as well as many others.

23Therefore it was necessary for the copies of the things in the heavens to be cleansed with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 24For Christ did not enter a holy place made with hands, a mere copy of the true one, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us;

25nor was it that He would offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the holy place year by year with blood that is not his own. 26Otherwise, He would have needed to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now once at the consummation of the ages He has been manifested to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.

27And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment,

28so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.

Jesus had brothers and sisters born after him. Two of his brothers wrote the Biblical Canon books of James and Jude, with James being the head of the Church in Jerusalem (Acts 15). There are references to Jesus brothers, this being one of them...

Mark 3:31 There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him. 32 And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.

does any Catholic have a CLUE as to what WIVES and HUSBANDS do when the lights are out??

I think most of the time they have a clue about normal husband/wife late night activities. In the case of Mary and Joseph, however, they probably think Mary told Joseph, “roll over and go to sleep, you horn dog. Don’t you know, after Jesus was born, we are authorized to enjoy husband/wife nightly activities, but there is a certain religious group, that thinks I am supposed to remain a virgin, so we have to keep up appearances. Besides, since I must appear to children at Fatima, and other places, I need my beauty sleep, to get ready for it.” Do you think that might be just about what Mary would say? Even to this day, that certain religious group, still thinks Mary remained a virgin throughout her life. I am sure there was a better than even chance, that Mary and Joseph’s other children, probably got a good laugh out of that, like ok, so how did we get here? The stork?

The book of Jude indicates that he was a brother of James; but neither book says either or both of them were the brother of Jesus Christ.

And these are the ordinary usage of these words. The counter position is extraordinary, and requires extraordinary proof.

Galatians 1:19 declares James to be the blood "brother" of the Lord Jesus.

Question: If Mary was a perpetual virgin, then why that sham marriage with Joseph? Jewish marriage law and ritual required Joseph consumate the marriage. Did Joseph lie to everyone including God?

The obvious answer is Mary did not have a sham marriage and was not a deceiver or a liar and was not a perpetual virgin! She is also not the Mother of "God the Father" or "God the Holy Spirit", but rather the mother of "God the Son, Christ Jesus". She cannot save anyone, even herself! Which is why she said she needs a savior, her Son!!! She was a sinner like all of us, albeit a special person chosen by God. To believe that she is a co-redeemer is the height of heresy. There is only one way by which man can be saved..."faith in Jesus Christ" (John 14:6, Acts 4:12)

Galations 1:19 does not mention "blood".

Do a word search for "brethren" in the New Testament and see often the word is used.

Were all those people blood siblings with each other?

Matthew 1:18-25 Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit. And her husband Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, resolved to divorce her quietly.

But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us). When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him: he took his wife, but knew her not until she had given birth to a son. And he called his name Jesus.

Psalm 69:8 I have become a stranger to my brothers, an alien to my mother's sons.

Matthew 1:24-25 When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him: he took his wife, but knew her not until she had given birth to a son. And he called his name Jesus.

Matthew 12:46-47 While He was still speaking to the multitudes, behold, His mother and brothers were standing outside, seeking to speak to Him. And someone said to Him, “Behold, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside seeking to speak to You.”

Matthew 13:55 “Is not this the carpenter’s son? Is not His mother called Mary, and His brothers James and Joseph and Simon and Judas?

Mark 6:2-3 And when the Sabbath had come, He began to teach in the synagogue; and the many listeners were astonished, saying, “Where did this man get these things, and what is this wisdom given to Him, and such miracles as these performed by His hands?”... “Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, and brother of James, and Joses, and Judas, and Simon? Are not His sisters here with us?”

John 2:12 After this He went down to Capernaum, He and His mother, and His brothers, and His disciples; and there they stayed a few days.”

John 7:2-5 Now the Jews’ Feast of Booths was at hand. So his brothers said to him, “Leave here and go to Judea, that your disciples also may see the works you are doing. For no one works in secret if he seeks to be known openly. If you do these things, show yourself to the world.” For not even his brothers believed in him.

Acts 1:14 These all with one mind were continually devoting themselves to prayer, along with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers

1 Corinthians 9:4-5 Do we not have a right to eat and drink? Do we not have a right to take along a believing wife, even as the rest of the apostles, and the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas?

Galatians 1:19 But I did not see any other of the apostles except James, the Lord’s brother

Strong's Concordance

http://biblehub.com/greek/80.htm

adelphos: a brother

Original Word: ἀδελφός, οῦ, ὁ

Part of Speech: Noun, Masculine

Transliteration: adelphos

Phonetic Spelling: (ad-el-fos')

Short Definition: a brother

Definition: a brother, member of the same religious community, especially a fellow-Christian.

Here is a link to the occurrences of the Greek word *adelphos*.

http://biblehub.com/greek/80.htm

The word *sister* (adelphe) in the Greek is the same.

http://biblehub.com/greek/79.htm

The word used is *brother* not *cousin*.

It can't mean a member of the same religious community in the context in which they occur, because then that would mean every man in Israel could be identified as Jesus' brother. So that would not identify Jesus as anyone in particular's brother.

It's not going to mean *brother in Christ* as that concept was not yet in place and the Jews, who knew Jesus as a Jew and knew His brothers as Jews, would not even begin to understand the new birth and what being in Christ meant.

They didn't even understand who JESUS was, much less being a *brother in Christ*.

The only definition left then, is to mean physical brother.

And it would not be *cousin*.

The word for *relative* that is used for Elizabeth is *suggenes*, not *adelphe*.

http://biblehub.com/greek/4773.htm

Strong's Concordance

suggenes: akin, a relative

Original Word: συγγενής, ές

Part of Speech: Adjective

Transliteration: suggenes

Phonetic Spelling: (soong-ghen-ace')

Short Definition: akin, a relative

Definition: akin to, related; subst: fellow countryman, kinsman.

The angel told oseph to take Mary *as your wife*, not *as your live in housekeeper and don't touch her or else*.

Nobody in those days thought Mary or Joseph were anyone special and had no reason to use the word *brother* in any but the usual way.

*Isn't this the carpenter's son and and aren't his brothers and sisters with us?*

A very reasonable question not requiring the use of *brother* in any other but the natural sense.

The burden of proof is on you to prove that they did not consummate and lived a lie, their marriage after Scripture says they did consummate it and go on to have other children, a blessing from the Lord..

It's that 'until' word that Rome wants its members to ignore.

Matthew 1:24-25 Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)  Catholic Bible

24 And Joseph rising up from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him, and took unto him his wife.

25 And he knew her not till she brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.

And note the use of the word *firstborn* son.

Scripture tells us that Jesus is God’s ONLY son.

But it doesn’t use the word *only* in regard to Mary. It uses *firstborn*.

Hey MM, thanks for posting these facts to those people in that other religious group, that will remain unnamed, but we all know what it is called. 😁 Fortunately, millions of us have left that particular religious group, and found the truth, that Mary and Joseph had a normal sex life, after Jesus was born, and had other children. Most important, however, after leaving that other religious group, we have assurance of salvation, something that 99% of those in that other religious group, probably do not have. Oh well, that’s on them. God freely bestows salvation and assurance on all of us in the household of faith. It’s a beautiful thing. Everyone should try it. 👍😇

The Greek word Luke uses is protokos from which we derive prototype. It allows room for others to follow.

In John 3:16 John uses monogone meaning one of a kind in describing Jesus as the Only Begotten Son of God.

The Greek allows for Joseph and Mary to have their own kids with Jesus being the first born while allowing Jesus is The Only Son of God.

His Word is awesome!
