Vatican Bombshell: McCarrick Conspiracy Uncovered! (Francis and Vatican Curia Directly Accused)
The American Conservative ^ | 08-24-2018 | Rod Dreher

Posted on 08/25/2018 9:03:29 PM PDT by NRx

Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano, who served at the papal nuncio (that is, Vatican ambassador) to the United States from 2011-2016, has dropped an atomic bomb on Francis’s papacy, charging that “corruption has reached the very top of the Church’s hierarchy.”

In a lengthy statement, Vigano says that Francis has known for years about Cardinal Theodore McCarrick’s sexual abuse, but brought him into the pontifical inner circle anyway, and sent him around the world on papal missions.

In fact, says Vigano, the Roman curia has known about McCarrick since the year 2000, but McCarrick was protected by gay supporters honeycombed throughout the Vatican. Pope Benedict XVI ordered McCarrick out of public ministry in 2009 or 2010, but McCarrick, abetted by powerful gay allies in the Curia, defied Benedict.

Vigano demands the resignation of Pope Francis, writing:

At the Angelus on Sunday, August 12, 2018 Pope Francis said these words: “Everyone is guilty for the good he could have done and did not do … If we do not oppose evil, we tacitly feed it. We need to intervene where evil is spreading; for evil spreads where daring Christians who oppose evil with good are lacking.”

If this is rightly to be considered a serious moral responsibility for every believer, how much graver is it for the Church’s supreme pastor, who in the case of McCarrick not only did not oppose evil but associated himself in doing evil with someone he knew to be deeply corrupt. He followed the advice of someone he knew well to be a pervert, thus multiplying exponentially with his supreme authority the evil done by McCarrick. And how many other evil pastors is Francis still continuing to prop up in their active destruction of the Church!
Francis is abdicating the mandate which Christ gave to Peter to confirm the brethren. Indeed, by his action he has divided them, led them into error, and encouraged the wolves to continue to tear apart the sheep of Christ’s flock.

In this extremely dramatic moment for the universal Church, he must acknowledge his mistakes and, in keeping with the proclaimed principle of zero tolerance, Pope Francis must be the first to set a good example for cardinals and bishops who covered up McCarrick’s abuses and resign along with all of them.

I have posted the entire text below. I’ve read it twice now, and I’m telling you, this story is as big as it gets.

Vigano worked in the Curia before being moved to Washington by then Secretary of State Tarcisio Bertone over his own objections. Vigano believed he was being punished by Bertone for informing Pope Benedict of rampant corruption in the Curia. With this statement today, Vigano declares open warfare at the highest levels of the Roman Catholic Church.

Other highlights from the statement today:

Vigano writes:

Francis is abdicating the mandate which Christ gave to Peter to confirm the brethren. Indeed, by his action he has divided them, led them into error, and encouraged the wolves to continue to tear apart the sheep of Christ’s flock. In this extremely dramatic moment for the universal Church, he must acknowledge his mistakes and, in keeping with the proclaimed principle of zero tolerance, Pope Francis must be the first to set a good example for cardinals and bishops who covered up McCarrick’s abuses and resign along with all of them.

Vigano’s testimony gives weight to the theory that Benedict XVI resigned because he knew the lavender mafia in the Curia held all the cards, and that he couldn’t do anything. When the leader of the SSPX urged him to reform the Church, Benedict supposedly pointed to the entrance to his office, and said, “My authority ends at that door.” (I posted something about that here.)

Vigano told Lifesitenews.com:

“The main reason why I am revealing this news now is because of the tragic situation of the Church, which can be repaired only by the full truth, just as she has been gravely injured by the abuses and the coverups. I do this to stop the suffering of the victims and to prevent new victims and protect the Church: only the truth can make her free.”

It’s clear now: in the Vatican, this is civil war.

The methods are financial - if implemented, they are lethal and work very quickly.

Abuses have gone on for centuries, but in a special way, the last 50-60 years.

REPENTANCE AND SPIRITUAL CONVERSION IS IN ORDER .

Bergoglio covering for predatory queers and one well known archbishop exposing his corruption and calling for him to resign should be the big story on the talk shows this morning, but of course it’ll be ignored while all the media glorifies Songbird McCain.

It’s not just “abuses” these last 50-60 years.

The IWR has a cash problem. Watch for sale of Church assets (real estate especially) in the coming months. That will be an indicator that the dam is about to breech. With the prospect of mounting civil actions in the US due to Church complicity in the abuse scandal - change will occur very quickly. The usual financial enablers are sitting on their hands.

I voted 👍 yes. I do not trust Pope Francis. I miss St. John Paul II.

Ed peters disagrees with you, even as of last night, after the Vigano letter.

My sense is that the homoclerical demonocracy will conspire with the satanic secular media to protect their guy: bergoglio. They are likely to succeed.

As of now I will not refer to Pope Francis as Pope, just Cardinal Bergino.

Man, you said it. Benedict had the whole damn wolf pack all around him. I suspect we haven't heard the last of that.

He's 91 but his mind is still good and his heart is still beating. He may yet break free of his despicable, treacherous "handlers" and find his voice.

Pray for Benedict.
