[The nature of the Gospel in the first century was a "political" proclamation and not limited to the salvation of the soul]

What.......I must not be reading this correctly.

I thought John MacArthur did a wonderful job.

I believe Keith Darrell likes hearing himself talk. Almost to the point of being insufferable. I am not sure if this type rant does more to turn people away.

Excellent critique of John MacArthur’s discussion with Ben Shapiro. While I greatly respect MacArthur and have learned a lot from him, these criticisms are warranted.

For Christians, finding the right balance between faith and politics is challenging. MacArthur questioned the Revolution and the proper Christian role even in it.

In New Testament times, those in positions of authority in the Roman government were targeted with the Gospel message and with prayer for their salvation. Paul used his Roman citizenship in order to engage in this mission as well. Paul also instructed Christians to use their positions in society, such as the ability to be freed from slavery, in order to better serve God. These things can be extended in principle to show that it is the the duty of Christians to vote and be politically involved to influence political society in favor of the furtherance of the Gospel.

If more Christian preachers and teachers advocated engaging in the political realm as part of the Biblical approach to spreading the Gospel, our nation would not have moved so far left with things like abortion, sexual perversion, and restrictions on religious liberty and free speech. Further, our nation would not be spreading this filth to the rest of the world and would instead be what it was in the past—the primary nation that spreads the Gospel to the rest of the world.

Leftists are collectivist hedonists at heart: anti-spiritual.

I have been in ministry, and become acquainted with such heretics.
