Pope Francis: Church Must Learn to Abandon Old ‘Traditions’

It is a mistake for the Church to try to hold onto old traditions or to have clear answers for everything, Pope Francis said Thursday.

Jesus intentionally omitted telling his disciples many things so that the Church would learn to renounce the desire for clarity and order, the pope told participants in the 21st general assembly of Caritas Internationalis, the Church’s global charitable outreach.

“Jesus intentionally omitted telling his disciples many things so that the Church would learn to renounce the desire for clarity and order”

That statement does not make much sense.

I am catholic. This pope is a babbling idiot. It appears he thinks his job is to destroy the church. He is one man and his time will pass, much like Obama’s.

SOOO many of his comments and edicts seem to say: “As a Catholic, you must now be willing to accept contradiction, inconsistency and cognitive dissonance to fit with this modern age.”

By that reasoning, taking announcements by Francis seriously could be first on the agenda. In fact, he is practically ordering us not to take him seriously.

Surely by now, some people in the church hierarchy must realize that this Pope will destroy they church if something is not done.

He very clearly intends to do so.

This clown Pope is doing his best to bring about the destruction of the Roman Catholic Church. Old Francis has proven to be the personification of the prophesied Peter the Roman. The swamp has spread around the world.

"renounce the desire for clarity and order"

God is one of reason and a sound mind. I was not under the impression that heaven is a place of chaos.

Yes, I am Catholic too. This pope is an idiot. But his ‘pronouncements’ are bringing to the forefront some very men in the church - Cardinal Raymond Burke, for example, who does not let a word from the pope go by without challenging it, sword in hand.

This clown Pope is doing his best to bring about the destruction of the Roman Catholic Church.

I would assume the same is true of the cardinals who elected him.

God is not the author of confusion.

Exactly. One of the first things that Genesis tells us is that God created order from the chaos. I am sorry, this "Pope", from my perspective, seems to be the spawn of Satan himself.

“He is one man and his time will pass”

Correct however the Catholic “deep state” installed Francis as Pope. The problem may be systemic rather than a one-off.
