In 1881, Stoppani gave a highly successful lecture at the Lincei Academy, “On the current regression of glaciers in the Alps.” At the conclusion, when King Umberto of Savoy, present at the lecture, showed concern for developments, Stoppani told him, “Don’t worry, providence will take care of it.” Rather than fatalism, he showed a profound knowledge of reality. Not without reason today, climate alarmism and the claim to be able to regulate the temperature of the earth as if we hold a thermostat in our hands, coincides with the cancellation of God from history and is substituted with the presumption that man is the master of the cosmos and history. If there is any novelty and real change of particular note, it is that even members of the Church embrace this atheistic view.

Well only since the industrial revolution. Before that it was always sunny with a high of 78 and a low of 50. :-)

I make this point to all my climate alarmist friends. Venus is the poster child for planetary warming. I tell them that the percentage of CO2 in Venus' atmosphere is 96.5%. Then I ask them, if they know the percentage of CO2 in Earth's atmosphere. Invariably they do not. So take a guess, I say.

You get get guesses like 30% or 50%, Sometimes 20%. I inform them that it is 4/100th of a percent. (NOT 4%, .04%) . It would have to increase 2500% to reach 1%. They think that I am lying.

The earth’s ecosphere is a lot more resilient than people give it credit for.

Winter. Spring. Summer fall. Forever

Longer term. Sun spot cycles.

Really long term. Ice ages.

Humans ? Meh !

I have Lefty friend who went into a long rant about climate change.

I just said, “Save the planet, kill yourself.”

He was stymied.

Climate Change is a voodoo doll fetish trying to immitate science. The fetish said this, the fetish said that, the people believe the fetish says the polls.

This thing is a full blown cult seeking funding under science pretense in order to destroy the churches

Paganistic barbarian members of the church nowadays will cowardly ignore their passion for their god’s work on end times telling people to stand down on politics when the government takes over, but then will urge themselves to stand up for Don Quixote type attack on the litteral wind pushing the windmills ... truly unbelievable potemkin battles of potemkin spirits.

Climate change is the result of two things, solar changes, and the moving magnetic polarity on earth.

I am all for protecting the earth's natural resources, eliminating air and water pollution - as much as possible, the responsible tending, cultivating and shepherding of all plants and living creatures and doing what we can to honor this incredible "blue marble" home our Creator has given us.

I have always suspected the global cooling/warming/change alarms were nothing more than nefarious power grabs by elitists who have no problem whatsoever with scaring children and shaming adults who dared to disagree with "science". It's shameful how few people actually do objective research anymore and just swallow whatever they are told by the "experts".

So called “scientists” can’t even look at the Corvid-19 objectively. (e.g. Does hydroxychloroquine work or doesn’t it?) And they want to tell us about climate change? In the last three years I have learned to have a great distrust of scientists, MSM, and the FBI.
