Israel pulls the plug on GOD TV, claims it is trying to evangelize Jews

Israel has decided to remove the U.S.-based evangelical Christian station GOD TV from the Israeli cable television provider HOT due to claims that it was trying to evangelize Jews.

Asher Biton, chairman of Israel’s Cable and Satellite Broadcasting Council, said he told the station last Thursday that it has seven days to halt broadcasting.

“The channel appeals to Jews with Christian content,” stated Biton, as reported by the Associated Press, claiming that the station’s “original request” was to be a “station targeting the Christian population.”

The GOD TV station for Israel, known as Shelanu, has denied that it is in violation of its terms. Ron Cantor, God TV regional director in Israel, told the Messianic Jewish news site Kehila News the allegations against the station are “simply not true.”

“From the first day we met with HOT, it was very clear what we wanted to broadcast: Messianic Jews sharing their faith in Yeshua in a variety of ways, from interviews, to music, to personal stories. And that’s what we do to this day,” stated Cantor.

“Our content providers are Israelis. Sabras. Serving in the Army. Paying their taxes. And we are people of integrity. If we really lied to get a license, of course we would have been caught. It does not make sense. It goes against everything we teach.”

In April, GOD TV launched a Hebrew-language channel on Israeli cable TV called Shelanu, under the condition that it not engage in missionary activities among non-Christian Jews. It had been given a seven-year license from the Israeli Communications Ministry.

Soon after it began airing programming, accusations were made that the station was trying to proselytize Jews, with GOD TV CEO Ward Simpson addressing the matter last month.

“The governing authorities that manage these things have been receiving numerous complaints about our content and about different things with the channel, especially as it relates to the rules and regulations of what can and cannot be said on TV in Israel,” stated Simpson at the time.

“As far as we have been told, the [Cable and Satellite Broadcasting Council] would like to shut down the channel. We have a great team of lawyers over there, probably the best in Israel. So they are working with the council now to try and figure out what to do.”

Simpson insisted that the channel was not trying to convert Jews to become Christians. "Our attorneys and our staff over there have all told me that we are in compliance and that we are following the rules and regulations, that we are legal and that there is no way that they can really pull us off the air because we haven’t done it," he said then.

"For whatever reason.." Gosh, hard to tell if that is sarcasm or not? The short version of that whatever reason is that the devil (שָׂטָן), has been trying for over 4,000 years to destroy the people of the Abrahamic Covenant. He's used Esau, Pharoah, Nebuchadnezzar, Haman, Antiochus IV, Vespasian, Hadrian, various Popes & Kings, Hitler and modern Arab & Islamic coalitions. And still, he cannot complete his mission. The reason he will never cease and that every attack upon a Jew is Satanic in nature is because if he can ever succeed, then it will make God into a liar about His Promises. And in some Spiritual legal sense, God must rescind His edict on Satan, his 1/3 angelic demonic coalition, and everybody that has ever died and gone to Sheol. False religions are just as bad as gas chambers to Jews. Just know that a lot of Christians are praying for you, myself included.

Chirstians who push their beliefs on Jews are frightening pursuers who should be ashamed on themselves. They say they want to do the Jews a favor. How paternalistic is that? They’ve been taught that they better than the Jews. How arrogant and well, “unChristian” is that?

The Jewish people are living in the homeland of the Jews and Jewish study of the written and oral law is flourishing, but Christians just won’t have it. They are bent out of shape that the Jews are flourishing as Jews. They are told, “Nope they won’t be Jews for long.” Nope, these agressors Christians just won’t have it. They want to “do the Jews a favor,” to “show them they are misguided.” God oversees the world in his way.

Today’s Christians, natively relying on what they were taught, which is mistranslations of mmistransations of mistranslations, from Biblical Hebrew to Greek to Aramaic to Latin to English/French/Spanish, etc, think they’ve got it all figured out, but, of course, the reality if that they don;t.

What’s at work is their fundamentally illogical, misinformed, eroneous thinking and overweaning pride and narcissism at work.

The Jews have long endured and suffered just the kind of “love” these Christians push. Christians who pursue us, need to hear God’s message: Let the Jewish people of Israel and the rest of the world worship the one, indivisible master of the universe, as the master of the universe revealed himself to the Jewish people for eternitiy.

The Jews have got it right, Christians. Worship God as you chosse, and let the Jewish people do the same. God is eternal, omnipotent and does not change. The all-knowing and all-powerful and all-wise doesn’t do take-overs. God doesn’t zoom down for short or long field trips, disguising himself in human or animal or plant form. That would be paganism full-blown.

Christians would be serving God properly if they spent their time following the commandments of God for their behavior in this wolrd. to all people Being aggressive pursuers of Jews is fundamentally an “unchristian” thing to do~ Live and let live. The Christians who want the Jews to be just like them are no different from the Muslims who want everyone to be like them. Israel’s Jews deserve not to be the recipients of this kind of aggression against who they are.

Christians would be smart to do a lot more introspection, because they are acting in an evil way, misguided way toward the Jewish people, who know God and have known God way, way before the sect , now called “Christians” got started., and long before Islam got started and long before Joseph Smith got started.

That convenant with the Jews is an eternal convenant. Stop trying to distract the Jews from their special convenantial relationship with God. Christians don’t have that and they know it

Chrisans’ behavior toward the Jews of Israel and Jews everywhere is displaced idealism. If you really want to be “good Chirstians, leave the Jews alone to flouish as God commanded and taught them.
