Dordt University, a Christian college in Sioux Center,
A school, as noted elsewhere, of the Christian Reformed Church in North America. That body has, over the last quarter century, done a swan dive into liberalism. After my time with them, fortunately.
My observation from what I've seen locally and on social media is, it's the liberal churches that are all into staying closed longer on account of "the Rona!".
The CRC has gone full bore leftist. Look them up sometime. Social and environmental justice crap. It is outrageous that denomination has allowed the egg heads to destroy what was once a place for hard working good people. I left it when I joined the Army a long time ago, and am so thankful to God for that.
A few years back we started getting the denominational rag, The Banner again. It's been really something to watch, from afar.
We were in, and members, from the late '70s, to 1991, when we moved away from that city and congregation. A few years before they started ordaining women. I've come to view that move as providential.
The description elsewhere in the thread of the CRCNA as "hyper-Calvinist" is just nonsense. Does not match my experience.
Same here, my mother gave them my address. I read some of their garbage articles for a out 6 months before I called and told the nice lady that answered the phone that I do not want their leftist bilge infiltrating my family, remove me from the mailing list.
I have an uncle thats a retired CRC pastor. He can barely stand how leftist the denomination has gone.
