Spirit-Filled Intercessor: Why God Will Deliver Us From This 'Coup' Attempt
Charisma News ^ | 12/11/20 | Karen Hardin

Posted on 12/12/2020 8:37:14 AM PST by spacejunkie2001

I received a letter from a ministry partner last week who felt it was important that I accept the election as finished and Joe Biden as the next president.

"My husband and I have prayed and feel at peace with the result. I believe it is proof of God's judgment over Donald Trump," she explained.

My concern is that her comment is grounded in what is seen with the natural eye, not taking into account who God is, what He requires and what He has done in the past.

Proverbs 25:26 (ESV) says, "Like a muddied spring or a polluted fountain is a righteous man who gives way before the wicked."

Am I calling Biden wicked? To be clear, I am calling what the Democrat platform and what Joe Biden says he supports as wicked. (If you disagree with that statement, that's an entirely different conversation.)

Like many, I have continued to pray for a word and insight into what we see happening. There is no doubt that tension and division are mounting. But this isn't just about what we see; it's also about what we don't see.

"So, we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal" (2 Cor. 4:18, NIV).

We need to look at what God has done in the past. Although He never seems to show up when or how we think He will, He always shows up.

Several times over the last two weeks, He has spoken to me of Gideon (Judg. 6-8) and why we are in a similar moment. What we see right now is a sifting and shifting, not only in government but also in the church.

We are changing from one season into another, leading to what I believe will be a massive revival across the globe as deliverance comes to our nation through "commoners." Who are the commoners? They are those who, even now, are in the trenches, working behind the scenes in whatever capacity they are able. Lawyers, researchers, intercessors, writers, and so on. Unknown names to the world but known to God. It's not the first time He has used such an army. Look around. These heroes are everywhere.

To see what God is doing in the present, we need to remember what He has done in the past. He never changes. God will not be mocked. He is and has always been in control. "He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord ridicules them" (Ps. 2:4, MEV).

Those plotting to remove God from our land are in for a rude awakening. How do I know that? Let's look at what He did in the days of Gideon as the Midianites harassed and tried to enslave God's people.

"The hands of Midian dominated Israel" (Judg. 6:2a). The name "Midian" means "division and strife." Coincidence? "For they came with their livestock and tents like a swarm of locusts. They and their camels were too numerous to count, and they came into the land to destroy it. Israel was made weak before Midian and cried out to the Lord" (Judg. 6:5-6).

Present Day

And the power of division and strife intent on takeover seemed to prevail against America and the world. They were like a great swarm of locusts. They appeared innumerable and entered the land to ravage it (under the pretext of "saving" it). And Americans cried out to the Lord.

God tapped Gideon (his name means "hacker") to lead. He was an unlikely choice. If you read the story, you will remember that Gideon was timidly threshing out wheat in a winepress. He was hiding in fear. The angel of the Lord appeared and called him a mighty warrior. He didn't look so mighty to me. Thank God that He sees us for who we can be and what He placed within us, rather than who we are in this moment.

Why had the Midianites been able to gain such strength? Judges 6:10b tells the story, "you have disobeyed Me." It is no different for America. Sin has abounded in our land along with pride. But just as Israel repented, so there has been repentance and humbling in our land before God. Why is that important? Because that is the key to strength.

Gideon

"Then Gideon said to him, 'O my lord, if the Lord is with us, then why has all this happened to us? Where are all His miracles that our fathers told us about? They said, "Did not the Lord bring us out of Egypt?" (Judg. 6:13a).

The Lord

"Then the Lord turned to him and said, 'Go in this strength of yours. Save Israel from the control of Midian [strife and division]. Have I not sent you?'" (Judg. 6:14, emphasis mine).

What was Gideon's strength to which the Lord referred? It was humility.

For months we have been reminded of the key to our deliverance in this hour, "If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land" (2 Chron. 7:14).

I realize that the church is not fully awake. I realize that not everyone has humbled themselves—but a remnant has.

Jonathan Cahn's "The Return," Franklin Graham's Prayer March 2020, Sean Feucht's "Let Us Worship" events. We have seen over a million believers who have come together to cry out to God just through these events. They represent even greater numbers of those unseen but just as effectively interceding. And God will respond because He must in order to be true to Himself. This repentance and humility is now our place of strength.

How else do we know that God will deliver us from this coup attempt in process? Not only because we have humbled ourselves and cried out to Him, but because we have started to tear down the idols of Baal.

In the days of Gideon, that was his first assignment. He was to go and tear down the idols on the high places. Although he was too afraid to do it by day, Gideon took some friends and did it at night. He began to dismantle the works of evil. We need to remember that God honors those who honor His commandments: "You shall have no other gods before Me" (Exod. 20:3).

Like him or not, President Trump has systematically been dismantling the idols of Baal erected in America. For the last four years he has torn down and reversed ungodly mandates from previous administrations, chopping away at the laws that protect the idols of pro-abortion, LGBTQ perversion, pedophilia, religious persecution and more. It has been in alignment with God's purposes. Will He suddenly allow it all to come back? Is His arm too short to save? Of course not.

Gideon was afraid as many are right now. Even after he started to take leadership and pull together an army, we learn they, too, were afraid. But God didn't need a great number; He just needed a remnant. In fact, He only wanted a small number so that man could not claim the glory for the victory that was about to occur at His hands.

"The Lord said to Gideon, 'You have too many people with you for Me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel glorify themselves over Me, saying, "Our own power saved us." So now, call out so the people can hear, "Whoever is afraid or anxious may turn back and leave Mount Gilead.'" So twenty-two thousand from among the people turned back, and ten thousand were left" (Judg. 7:2-3).

Over two-thirds were afraid and left. It sounds like where we are at in our nation right now as fear has caused many to capitulate just wanting this to be over and things to get back to "normal."

But the Lord said to Gideon, "There are still too many people. Bring them down to the water, and I will test them for you there. When I say to you, 'This one will go with you,' he will go with you. Everyone about whom I will say, 'This one will not go with you,' will not go."

So he brought the people down to the water, and the Lord said to Gideon, "You shall set apart by himself everyone who laps the water with his tongue like dogs; likewise, everyone who kneels down to drink." The number of those who lapped, putting their hands to their mouths, was three hundred. The rest of the people had knelt to drink water (Judg. 7:4-6).

Those who brought the water up to their mouths to drink were the ones alert and watchful. They were the ones chosen for the task of defeating the innumerable Midianite army. Just 300 men against an army too numerous to count. Crazy, right? We need to remember that God likes to do it that way.

"That night the Lord said to him, 'Get up and go down into the camp, for I have given it into your hands. Yet if you are afraid to go down, then go down to the camp with Purah [fruitful] your servant. Listen to what they say" (Judg. 7:9-11a).

I believe the Lord wants to encourage us to listen to what they are saying. The continued insistence by the media reveals its fear of defeat. In the story of Gideon, a soldier in the opposing army had a dream of a barley loaf tumbling down the hill and crashing into the enemy's camp. Barley was the commoner's food. It represented that deliverance was coming through "commoners." I believe that is what we are seeing right now as well.

As we stand now at the top of the hill waiting for what we sense is coming, perhaps you feel like Gideon—afraid. It's OK. Listen to what the opposing camp is saying. I will tweak a line from Hamlet: "Methinks they protest too much." Their continued and desperate insistence of Biden's win and refusal to admit the overwhelming evidence of fraud which has been uncovered speaks volumes.

God understands that many are afraid—afraid of the future and what will happen in our nation as this conflict is resolved.

It's okay. He is in control. As the angel said to Mary long ago, "Fear not."

Rest assured, deliverance is coming and even now is tumbling down the hill. It is our job to stand fast, immovable as we continue to pray. May we be part of the remnant who are constantly alert, watching as He once again delivers His people in a way in which only He will get the glory, and America will return fully to Him.

God keeps laying on my heart the story of Gideon and reading this just reinforces His message to me and all of us that this battle can and will be won by those of us faithful to Him.

Amen!

Psalm 37

of David

1 Do not fret because of those who are evil
or be envious of those who do wrong;

2 for like the grass they will soon wither,
like green plants they will soon die away.

3 Trust in the Lord and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.

4 Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.

We are changing from one season into another, leading to what I believe will be a massive revival across the globe as deliverance comes to our nation

I'm sorry, but that's where the author loses me. The Bible does not say an end time revival is at hand, it says in 2nd Thessalonians 2:3a, "2Th 2:3  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first."

Second, what is happening is not a judgment on Donald Trump, it is judgment on the USA on a whole. Sure, God's elect are still here and will be kept from the trial to come on the earth, but Donald Trump has been lied to by his "false prophets." I don't blame him for that, I blame them. And if you want a list of those false prophets, just look at who Trump surrounds himself with. That'll clue you in. So Biden's election is a judgment on the USA, and will result in ever worsening conditions.

So don't listen to the garbage being put out by Charisma magazine.

Why didn’t you read the article? If you felt compelled to respond it seems you would have taken the effort to understand what you’re talking about.

A. Where did she say the revival she speaks of is the end time revival you speak of? Don’t you think it’s incumbent upon you to understand what someone is saying before you blurt out erroneous information?

B. You are truly clueless. Why wouldn’t you understand what you read prior to commenting??

Will he deliver us? Ultimately. But we shall know tribulation.
7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; 8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. Ecclessiastes 3:7-8

It's war.

The world will not go on forever. The USA will not go on forever. God’s plan is for tribulation to occur whether now or later. So you cannot count on God to make things better in the near future. He will, will be done.

My goodness, what pharisees these people are!!! Are there no mirrors in their home -— or are they blinded by their own opinion of themselves???

Perhaps they are showing you that you need to lead them back from self-righteous judgement to true faith and understanding of how God chooses and uses broken vessels:

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. -— Romans 8:1-2

Agreed - this is all a FALSE "Great Awakening" - and the New Agers are all in on it too. You can tune in to most New Age YouTubes and hear the SAME EXACT rhetoric about Trump - almost the same exact sermons ABOUT Trump - coming from the New Age movement.

If someone thinks I am wrong - type in: "Trump is a lightworker" and search it. They believe that Trump is a lightbearer - a light worker - sent to bring about justice and the take down of the Global Darkness and bring in a revival of light and a new age of enlightenment (gee - who does that sound like? Q).

But please - don't anyone take my word for it - look it up and know that Satan doesn't fight against Satan.

So - it is not as simple as "God is on Trump's side and Satan is on the other."

Satan very well had convinced THOUSANDS (tens? hundreds) of his followers through the New Age movement that Trump is a good guy - a light worker and will lead them into a revival of light. That's a verifiable fact.

So -when Satan is also on your side - and when your side is calling for a "7 mountains mandate" - and that wording is strangely familiar with Revelation 17:9 (not saying they are the same) - it shows these people lack GREAT wisdom.

No God will NOT deliver us from the coup. That isn’t even biblically sound. In the new covenant he isn’t shooting lightning bolts to save us here in the temporal world. That the basic concept of free will.

Think there weren’t millions of Christians in 1918 Russia praying as hard as they could? Syrian Christians as ISIS rolled into town? That preacher and his wife in the trunk of the car praying, singing and blessing their kidnapper before he shot em in the head and burned them? (killer executed this week)
Christians in life rafts, Max-8 737s in a death dive, etc.

God protects their soul, not so much their corpus delecti here in earth. “Jesus take the wheel” is a truly insane song”.

Sure, God allowed some of His people to war against brutal oppressors and win but He also allowed brutal oppressors to punish Israel time and time again when they fell away from Him, when they ALLOWED sinn to creep into the nation, and infect everything in their society. When Israel stopped fighting, and rested on their laurels, God allowed nations to subdue them, even when there were e still some faithful remnants within Israel.

Take a look around, we have allowed aa tremendous amount of sin to creep in without dealing with it, even in many churches today.

What is God going to allow to happen to a nation that is trying to kick Him out? We don’t know at this point.

Only when Israel repented AS A NATION did God empower them to defeat their oppressors. Only when Israel rooted out the evil from among them did God act to empower them to prosper once again.

Are we gonna make an oath to God to purge our nation of evil like Israel did time and again when they got right with God fin a lly? Or are we gonna sit back and let it go on like we have for so long Now?

Yes we fight already by praying, by outing, by trying to launch lawsuits, but really we are d a day late and dollar short, the evidence, is entrenched in society now because Christians s stopped seriously opposing it like they used to. We allowed the snarling enemy to intimidate us into inaction in the past. You don’t see the groups of Christians stamping out sin in the streets Nymore like you used to because we are bow more afraid of losing friendship with the world than we are about obeying God

That is the sad truth of the matter. Christians s all over the US could risk going to prison while seriously opposing sin, but we choose not to, we choose to not make serious waves anymore,, just like Israel did time and time again.

As I said, keep dreaming and start praying for the souls of those whom are going to murder you in the “reeducation camps” that will be opening soon. One can almost fortell, as soon as kamala harris is president there will be a “Final Solution to the Trump Deplorable problem”. History does repeat itself, as it is now.

Exactly! God didn’t save the c b Russians from the roasting pits and fromm being boiled alive, and fed to wild animals for sport either, despite their prayers. He did however give them grace to endure it.

We don’t know what God’s plans are for the US. He may deliver us and expose the corruption and restore this country to the mostly moral0 nation it once w a s, or He might not. Just because someone has a gut feeling about something doesn’t mean its gonna happen the way they want it to.

I wonder how the Christians who watched their loved ones being roasted over a pit of fire prayed? What they prayed for? I’ll bet it was God Your will be done, give us the grace to accept Your will no matter what You decide. If we must go to the grave, we will do so believing in AND SERVING you still.
,because our faith doesn’t rely on only good things happening to us at al times. We trust You Lord to preserve our soul no matter what You decide.

I know that God can deliver us, but I've never understood modern Christians that believe God will deliver us. We have murdered 65 million babies and allowed sodomites to marry. Church attendance has decreased over 20% in the last 10 years. We claim to be 80% of the population yet we can't win an election. Even the pope is flirting with making sodomy legal. At some point God will punish His people.

People keep talking about "Grace", but you don't get a Mulligan for outright sin.

If you ask a Christian about Solomon, most of them will have a good opinion of him recounting the story of splitting the baby and asking for wisdom instead of money. But the truth is, if you read the story of Solomon, God gave him everything and got nothing for it. Solomon built his Temple, but David provided all the materials and he completed the Temple after his own homes in Jerusalem and Lebanon were finished, plus a house for his first wife, Pharaoh's daughter. Lebanon is significant because the "King of Tyre" was there. Ezekiel tells us that's where Lucifer was. If you read Deut 17 (I think), it will list the rules for Kings of Israel to follow. Solomon broke all of them. He married 700 wives and 300 concubines and none of them were Hebrew. His wives brought their gods and altars with them and changed Solomon's heart. The amount of gold paid to Solomon each year was 666 talents of gold. His personal friend that helped him build the Temple was the King of Tyre. Solomon gave 20 cities to Hiram and he didn't want them. By the time Salomon died, there were altars to Baal and Moloch all over Israel, even on the roof of the Temple. His wives were sacrificing Solomon's own children to Baal. Israel ended up divided into 2 nations. The Northern Kingdom built 2 golden calf's to worship so people wouldn't try to go to Jerusalem to worship.Read Eze 16 to see what God thought of all this.

We must ask ourselves how long God will wait before Judgement falls? Could Biden/Harris be Gods judgement? Why do we blindly believe God will just forget about what has been allowed to go on in America? We didn't repent after 9-11. We didn't repent after the financial collapse in 2008. Is anybody repenting after the virus has killed 300,000? Did we miss the part about God punishing those He loves? God could straighten all this out in a moment, but why should He?

My read on this is, If Trump wins, He has given us 4 more years to REPENT!!, If Biden takes over, It's too late,... Punishment is here.

If we don't think this will end in civil war, we are fooling ourselves. 600,000 died in the first civil war. How many do you think would die today?

I could recount many more times God punished His people in history, but most of us still think we don't deserve it. You can ask an axe murderer if they think they will go to heaven and they most likely say yes because God is good. They will explain that they only killed one and he deserved it. Then they will explain they are a good person. We are doing the same thing. We can't explain to God why we allow baby killers and sodomites to lead our country. If we won't repent on our own, He will bring us to our knees one way or another.
