Pro-LGBTQ+ archbishop of Malta tipped off to be Vatican doctrinal czar
VALLETTA, Malta (ChurchMilitant.com) - Catholics have expressed outrage after Malta's archbishop demonstrated solidarity with LGBTIQ+ activist organizations a couple of days before a faithful priest was dragged to court for "hate speech" against homosexuals.
Archbishop Charles Scicluna and auxiliary bishop Joseph Galea-Curmi met Drachma LGBTI, Allied Rainbow Community, Drachma Parents' Group, LGBTI+ Gozo, and LGBTIQ Rights Malta at the archdiocesan curia in Floriana on Tuesday, a Drachma press release announced.
During the two-hour "positive and flowing conversation," the bishops and the LGBTIQ+ community explored ways of how to make pansexual Catholics "feel more at home with the Church," the statement said.
On Friday, firebrand priest Fr. David Muscat appeared in court accused of "incitement to hatred or violence" over his comments about homosexuality after a complaint was filed by the predominantly Catholic country's Hate Crime and Hate Speech unit.
Magistrate Ian Farrugia rebuked the priest, asking him to be "more prudent in what we say."
"Whether you like it or not, what you say carries weight," Farrugia told Muscat. "People look to you. I don't want any further cases. What's done is done. This is for the future."

Romans 1:18-32 begins with and applies to people who abandon the knowledge of the Lord and only afterwards when they are turned over to depraved minds are we presented with a list of fruit seen in their lives, just one of which is championing homosexuals in society.
Elsewhere we are told that we can and should judge the fruit of a life, for good trees produce good fruit and bad trees produce bad fruit.
So since being turned over to depraved minds is so strongly associated with a specific list of bad fruit I would suggest that this is in part done to warn others about the true spiritual condition of the depraved … that this warning is a benefit for those who can still repent, who can still turn back. It warns to cease from fellowship with those who have first had to leave the knowledge of the Lord. It warns to, as Christ would say to the 7 churches in the Revelation, return to the first love / restore what remains and so forth.
Clinging to the Lord and rejecting any fellowship with the depraved may seem to carry a price for a short season … but …
Clinging to the depraved rather than to the Lord is a broad way that leads to destruction.
Choose wisely.
I am beginning to feel compassion for the people who are working at presenting the Gospel on Relevant Radio. I can listen to them and despite doctrinal differences can join my spirit with theirs and together join in the Spirit (”Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful...”) that strives to bring the world to Christ...
And then crap like this fills the church, if it isn’t sexual perversion it’s Pachamama, or illegal immigration, or bringing mosque services into the holy sanctuary, and you walk away shaking your head in disgust, “Who wants to join together with this [expletive]!”
The Spirit is either going to cleanse the Catholic church or depart from the Catholic church; either way, all hell will break loose.
