Iconic American televangelist Pat Robertson - who famously predicted an asteroid would hit the Earth after Donald Trump was reelected in 2020 - came out of retirement Monday to say Russian President Vladimir Putin was being 'compelled by God' to invade Ukraine.
'I think you can say, well, Putin's out of his mind,' Robertson, 91, said during a special appearance on his old show, the Christian Broadcasting Network's The 700 Club, of the Russian president's decision to invade the neighboring nation.
'And yes, maybe so,' the aging voice of conservative Christianity - who boasts an estimated net worth between $200m and $1 billion, according to the Observer - conceded.
'But at the same time, he's being compelled by God.'

He’s entitled to his opinion although I don’t “follow him” anymore.

I lost all whatever modicum of respect I had for this old fool years ago when he defended the ChiComs’ one-child, forced-abortion policies, saying they were “doing what they had to do” or some such diabolical nonsense.
I used to watch their morning news but stopped.

read your Bible. if God compelled pharoah to drive his army into the red sea (and He did), he could certainly be compelling putin, or zelensky and brandon for that matter, to do what they are doing, too.
It’s not without precedent for the Lord to lure a leader into battle for some end. Happened with Ahab that we can say fore sure.
Maybe he can send his age-defying energy shakes there and they can just leg-press those Russians right out of there.
ukraine has a big jewish population apparently, and also they are tryign to get israel involved somehow i heard the other day-
but pat is consistently wrong- always has been- so his word doesn’t hold any weight really-
