Yeahmim not sure now what the connection to Israel was- there was an article explaining how Israel was being plied to,get involved somehow- I think it might been because of the relatives that live In The ukraine,, but I could be mistaken now- I just skimmed the article at the time

I take that as a sign that Russia itself is deeply divided about invading Ukraine. Israel understands what’s going on in both countries.

I think it’s just the geographic location as it talks about gog and the land of magog. I’m not real,up on the prohecies,, but I think it Includes “the bear of the north” which Russia is known as I beleive? The prophecies I think speak of the ‘sleeping bear” that is awakened. That certainly ‘seems to be what has happened witn russia, though it might not be time yet, but it could be too as Russia seems hungry to,devour with all her talk of war and attacking anyone that tries to counter her.

Russia had a leased naval base in 2013. They then invaded Crimea, so they had the naval base. Also, there are other naval bases in Russia proper on the Black sea. Of course, given their current war, Turkey has closed the Bosporus Straights to Russia.
