I know several deluded people who have no need for God or think they are fine with God and live happy sinful lives.
Check in with them again in 20 years. I have a sister-in-law who was one of those. At some point, my wife and her mother had to stage a rescue operation for her, traveling 1,400 miles to bring her home, because she was about to be institutionalized after having a complete mental breakdown.

Check in with them again in 20 years.
People who once espoused being a Christian but backslid into another life style have a verse specifically dedicated to them. "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." (Prov. 22:6.)
So many people come back when they are older, deep in regret for walking away when they were younger. The most famous is the comedian Sam Kinison and his death.
Comedian Sam Kinison who died in a head-on collision in 1992 said to no one in particular: “I don’t want to die. I don’t want to die.” But then there was a pause as if Kinison were listening to someone. Then he asked, “But why?” and after another pause “Okay, Okay, Okay.” A friend who was with him said, “Whatever voice was talking to him gave him the right answer and he just relaxed with it.”
