The Vatican reported that Pope Benedict XVI, died on Saturday at age 95.
Benedict’s body will be laid in St. Peter’s Basilica on Monday so the crowd can pay respects.
“With sorrow I inform you that the Pope Emeritus, Benedict XVI, passed away today at 9:34 in the Mater Ecclesiae Monastery in the Vatican. Further information will be provided as soon as possible.” tha Vatican's announcement read.

Since he’s the former Pope, there will be no Cardinal selected to replace him as the former Pope.
The next papal election will happen at such time when Pope Francis is no longer Pope.
As a “Recovering Methodist”, I don’t even pretend to understand all of this succession lineage stuff. RIP, pope.
And with that the by-far-less-bad pope is gone.
This is where one comes to revel in ignorance and bigotry.
Anti pope Francis as never been the Pope and never will be. The seat will be vacant until Francis is dead or otherwise gone.
the position of Pope Emeritus is now vacant. Perhaps it is time for Pope Francis to step up and fill that position.
Would the next Pope be any better?
One way to judge a man, is by the enemies he makes. By that standard, Pope Francis excelled.

Just as with Queen Elizabeth, the reporting is, “We saw them cough. The funeral will be announced tomorrow.” And, they’re gone just like that.
