Please pray for my health. I am having several different issues, and I'm not sure if they are related. Acid reflux, sinus infection/headaches.
Pray that I will be wise in knowing just how to treat this and when/if I should seek medical help.
It is keeping me from getting rest at night.
Sometimes doctors can lead us astray.
In California Omeprezole is over the counter...I keep it on hand.

My hubby would take baking soda often for his acid reflux. I ,not so much... but I have done it when needed. I had heard that it wasn't too good to do on a regular basis.
I am committed to trusting God....and asking for wisdom. A PRAISE... I slept all night . I think it helped not to eat past 4pm and to eat SMALLER portions.
MANY thanks to ALL who are helping me through this with prayer and advice. I LOVE you all!!
I can get it OTC in TN, too. The rx is stronger, and time released. The OTC didn’t do much for me.
Praying for you, dear polly.
May the Lord bless and heal you.💞
Prayers Up for you to feel well soon, pollywog.
>>>When it comes to the acid reflux, please be careful when taking either OTC or prescription meds.
I believe I inherited myriad GI issues from my mother, including GERD. She used to eat TUMS like candy while I later tried to tolerate Pantoprazole which made me dizzy.
Recently, I’ve read and heard how antacids have been linked to dementia/Alzheimers (from which my succumbed in 2012)!!!
Fortunately, I’ve managed to alleviate my heartburn with a soft bland diet, which I pray will help you cope.
As far as your sinus infections go, perhaps you may allergic to something and you will soon discover what’s making you so miserable.
Yes, doctors do lead us astray and try to lump us all into pigeonholes. I pray you’ll find a kind, compassionate one who will figure out what needs to remedy your infections.
Prayers
Famotidine is over the counter, cheap. Works for some, not everyone.
Sounds lik you’re controlling whatever ails you by your diet. So could be the answer you actually need. Perhaps a dietition might be helpful.
Prayers for you.
Prayers Up for you today pollywog.
The combination of the symptoms are overwhelming. Hoping you can get some relief and good restful sleep. If you like the yogurts try and find ones with a high # of Bifidus and acidopholos (sp). And the Kiefer is a good way to get it in your gut quick.
Hope you feel much better soon 🤍
Prayers up...
Thanks for the blessing! I need all I can get! xoxo
Yeah, I remember having to get up late in the evening as a small kid when I had had a reflux attack - it would go into my sinuses and I wouldn’t be able to breathe and it BURNS. I would go find my mom - usually she would still be up - and I recall she would give me a small amount of sugar or maple syrup or honey.
Also, I’ve worked for gastroenterologists. Reflux-related sinusitis is a common complaint.
Praying!
The bland diet, eating between 10 am and 6:pm, drinking water, and getting sleep is healing.
Keep your eyes on JESUS and declare GOD’s Promises of healing over your body. Speak to acid reflux, cancel its assignment on you, and command it to leave in JESUS’ Name. (It has a name and must bow to JESUS’ Name.)
FATHER GOD, may HOLY SPIRIT neutralize and heal pollywog’s digestive system. Make her whole.
Thank you.
In JESUS’ Name we pray. AMEN.
Thank you for the info on BRAT....
Amen!!!
Prayers up and continuing, polly!
Let me know if it helps.
And while i'm at it, I'll post a link to one of the microbiome articles I see over at Instapundit every so often.
https://instapundit.com/636911/#disqus_thread
And the link to the actual article.
Links to these types of articles appear on Instapundit fairly often. I am convinced that the microbial life living in our intestines has a strong effect on our overall health.
FATHER GOD,
Give pollywog sweet sleep. Cleanse her digestive system in the night, and may she awaken refreshed and pain free.
Thank You for kind and loving care.
In JESUS’ Name we pray. AMEN.
Oh, the joys of those who are kind to the poor! The Lord rescues them when they are in trouble. The Lord protects them and keeps them alive.
He gives them prosperity in the land and rescues them from their enemies.
The Lord nurses them when they are sick and restores them to health. (Psalm 41:1-3)
