The Hope of Israel and the Nations,
Matthew 24 Fulfilled,
Matthew 23-25,
The Destruction of Jerusalem,
The Great Tribulation,
Is Jesus Coming Soon?
Oh, look! Jesus is my savior. /end story.
Seriously, dude…you are overthinking everything. Is Jesus the only one who died on the cross for your sins? It ends there.
Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation.”
Could you care less if Jesus returned at all?
In September 2021, the USPS started down the DIE road where complex systems can no longer be run due to decisions to hire incompetents to operate the system?
My Left Behind itches...
I’m not anxious at all. I look forward to it.
Nobody is claiming that he isn't coming at all (which is what Paul is addressing here). All Christians believe in the Second Coming of Jesus at the end of time, but not all (or even most) ascribe to the "secret-rapture-at-any-moment" brand of Dispensationalism.
I think this is an omen.
My right behind itches...
That means everyone between my right and your left are about to get scratched!
Panic! Oh Noeesssss!
I am one of those Christians that believes Jesus Christ could literally take us to Heaven at any moment, whether through the rapture or our physical deaths. No one is guaranteed another day or moment. We would all be wise to keep that in mind.
I too look forward to Jesus Christ taking us to Heaven.
“..I’m not anxious at all. I look forward to it...”
IF the trump of God sounded tonight, there’d be no tears in this old boy’s eyes....
“ here). All Christians believe in the Second Coming of Jesus at the end of time, ”
So, in your own way, you are predicting when Jesus will return, and are you telling Him He can only return when you MOST expect Him?
Why trust the Vatican to interpret Revelation and 1&2 Thessalonians when it FAILED to heed Romans, Galatians and Hebrews?
There will be a partial preterist eclipse of the truth tonight.
I Cor. 15:51-53
Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, in an instant, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For the perishable must be clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality.
I Thes. 4:16,18
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will be the first to rise. After that, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord.
Then the seventh angel sounded his trumpet and loud voices called out in heaven: “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and He will reign forever and ever.” Rev. 11:15
Well said.
Nope. I make no predictions at all because He didn't give us a date and He told us plainly, "No man knows that day and hour."
Why trust the Vatican to interpret Revelation and 1&2 Thessalonians
"The Vatican" has no official interpretation of Revelation or any other book of the Bible. What interpretations we do have have been passed down from the early Church Fathers who immediately followed the Apostles and wrote extensively on the Sacred Scriptures.
when it FAILED to heed Romans, Galatians and Hebrews
That is only your opinion based your fallible personal interpretation of the Bible.
Specifically speaking I believe that Jesus, is the son of the Living God. Scriptures make that abundantly clear.
Sometimes I wonder how and when His Name became abbreviated.
Nor mine either.
Then that leaves you with nothing more than YOUR own fallible personal interpretation of the Bible.
Alleged word of mouth teaching allegedly passed down faithfully for 2,000 years that are allegedly from the early church fathers, who allegedly got them from the apostles, means nothing.
Your whole Bible interpretation house of cards is built on speculation and hearsay.
