What do the three arrows on the Antifa International flag mean?

It’s a shoutout to the Iron Front who used the “three arrows” as their symbol. Together with Antifaschistische Aktion (who originated the “two flags” antifa symbol”), they were the two prominent militant antifascist groups in Germany in the 1930s.

There are many interpretations and theories about what the significance of the three arrows are. Some believe that the three arrows originally symbolized anti-fascism, anti-monarchism, and anti-communism (setting the Iron Front apart from other anti-fascist groups that included communist members).

But since the 1930s the only meaning of the arrows that has continued has been anti-fascism (in fact, we know many communist antifascists that use the three arrows!).

In our logo, we feel that the arrows stand for equality, fraternity, and solidarity.

I read in one place that the three-arrow symbol was from the Iron Front, a Weimar-era German organization that opposed Bolshevism, Nazism and Monarchism.

Another source said it was opposing racism, sexism and capitalism.

But if it symbolizes what they oppose, wouldn't they want to show broken arrows, or put the arrows behind one of those red circle/slash Ban-the-whatever signs?

Yet another source said the three arrows represent changing society through culture (education), politics (elections), and revolution (violence).

My long answer is the same as your short answer: the arrow symbol seems to mean what you want it to mean.

There is witness testimony that they were bused in on the same charter buses. Seems unbelievable, but how many people have heard that? In a way, it’s demoralizing to honest people everywhere, that something so blatant could happen and it never be heard because of the media echo-chamber. I almost wonder if they would do such a thing for the exact purpose of demoralizing the truth-seekers of this nation.

Similar to what they did with the supposed plane “crash” that supposedly killed Loretta Fuddy who illegally put her own seal on the supposed Obama birth “verifications” to AZ SOS Bennett and KS SOS Kobach, presumably to hide that Alvin Onaka REFUSED to put his seal on those documents. The things that have been done - including open records tampering by the NTSB - are so blatant, and yet nobody can get the story to hit the front pages.

The entire US media is either complicit in the Deep State crimes or out in la-la land, ignoring major, major stories that the republic NEEDS to know about. Including the stuff you’ve uncovered and the testimony of witnesses in Charlottesville and other places.
