UPDATE: Goya Foods’ CEO Robert Unanue refuses to apologize after drawing intense criticism and calls for a boycott against his company for praising President Trump on Thursday.

“We were part of a commission called the White House Hispanic Prosperity Initiative and they called on us to be there to see how we could help opportunities within the economic and educational realm for prosperity among Hispanics and among the United States,” Unanue said on “Fox & Friends” on Friday.

Unanue said the backlash his visit to the White House and praise of Trump triggered is a “suppression of speech.”

He pointed out that he has visited the White House before, for an event hosted by the Obama administration for Hispanic Heritage Month.

I grew up on the border and for this white boy that speaks Spanish and is totally cross cultural Goya was just a normal buy at the supermarket and my Mexican wife from Mexico did just did the same before I meet her. I shall look more at Goya products to purchase.

I’ve been wondering what those are, too. Perhaps someone will enlighten us ;-)

Try my wife’s Puerto Rican Rice and Beans recipe:

Thanks. Sounds wonderful but I'll stick to my mother's Dominican cuisine

Bought 10 cans of beans plus some mixes at the store today. Their product covered half the left side of the aisle, top to bottom.

Also sent Goya a supportive email via their contact page.

It was an example that LEFTIST boycotting has the opposite of their intended purpose. Alot of businesses are doing stupid $hit lately.

I hope he holds his ground.

I remember what happened with the head of Barilla pasta, he expressed support for traditional one man + one woman marriage, and then the homosexuals started howling at him, and he backed down and apologized. Very disappointing.

I have not tried Adobe. What I throw on my eggs, potato salad and almost everything else is this Mexican stuff called "Tajin". Chile/lime combo - not spicy. That said, I want to try the adobo on some eggs. We use it on pork/chicken a lot. Goya has some of the best flan also if you like that.

And if you're into bread, they've got the Brazilian thing going also with these cheese breads - delicious!

Oh I hear you about diabetes. Well they have wonderful products. The mojo sauces are great to marinate your pork/chicken in.
