Al Franken admits Swift Boat Vets were telling the truth, Kerry lied.

Al Franken just gave a surprisingly candid list of Kerry's mistakes :

Global Test, turning over our defense to UN, France
Health Care program was a bloated nightmare
Admitted Kerry lied about his purple hearts, were self inflicted wounds, and throwing his medals away
"Banning the Bible" [I don't remember this??]

I don't think Franken was trying to be funny or sarcastic about the purple hearts being self inflicted wounds, throwing his medals away, etc. Franken said his problem with Kerry on this was it was unnecessary for Kerry to lie about this. Franken seemed genuinely disgusted by it.

One of the mistakes I forgot to list, that Franken mentioned was that Kerry took too many positions on the Iraq war, the $87 billion, etc. The flip flopping was a legitamate problem.

Confession? Repentenence? I'd welcome Franken on our side if he can see the light.

The new (old) delusion of the left is now going to be that there is nothing wrong with their ideas, they just had a lousy candidate. It's Kerry's fault, it can't be that America rejects their ideas and values.

Jeez I thought it would feel good to win but wow. Not only that, but we b!tchslapped Daschle too.

After all the hate and venom spewing from the left these last 4 years, not only did they fail to beat Bush, but he won the first popular vote mandate in 16 years. We won, they lost. Revel in it.

I listened to this------Franken was being very sarcastic with his list of Kerry "mistakes". He thinks the swifties are all liars.

The thing that doomed Kerry from the start was that series of stories they floated back in June and July, suggesting that Kerry was trying to get John McCain to run as his VP candidate.

You knew Kerry was an abysmal candidate when the Democrats basically admitted that he needed a Republican on his ticket in order to win in November.

I still want Kerry to sign 180.

I agree. There must be one honest investigative journalist amongst the paleomedia interested in the truth of the matter.

MSM were so anti-Bush that they gave Kerry a pass on nearly everything.

They shot their own credibility. By 2008, they should have little to no influence at all.
