Just a Dan Rather Mistake (Yeh Right! - and The Sun Rises in the West - No Am-Bush)

One more thing about the arrogant Rather and the ongoing spin that "it was all just an innocent mistake".

This two-man SeeBS "investigation" of Documentgate or Memogate is most likely going to try to inform America that it was merely a "mistake", an "oversight", Rather and Mapes "didn't do their homework". I don't believe it for a second (they were working on the story for years).

All the talking heads and old time-reporters (Bernard Kalb, etc.) have been dragged out and have telling us for weeks what a great, dedicated, truly involved hands-on editor Rather was, and that he never read a story on air that he didn't check and recheck. More bull in my opinion. I fervently believe that he AND Mapes knew those documents were fakes, I believe they knew where they were "created", and they used them purposefully.

So why would Rather use them if he knew they were fakes? There are people much more influential and powerful around and over Dan Rather in the media and at SeeBS. I believe they made him use them in a desperate effort to derail G.W. I think they (the Bush-hating powerful) felt, even if there developed some chatter and disagreement (from Buckhead and all the rest of us in pajamas and in the new world of media and the internet), they felt that they could poo-poo it, and suggest that we were just standing up for a guy we wanted to win the election and who shirked his Guard duty. They thought the damage they could do with the story with the faked documents would overcome any problems of them being exposed. There is no way, in my mind - and I'm 58 years old and wise to the ways of people, that Rather didn't know the documents were faked, he's not that stupid. We know of his history of hating the Bushes and Republicanism in general, but, there were and are others who want to ruin G.W. and his agenda who are much more powerful than Danno. They were ALL involved in trying to ruin G.W., and they thought the power and influence of the "old media" could get them through any exposure.

I don't know how old you are, but when JFK was killed, and the "single bullet theory" was floated and the Warren Commission was thrown out there for Americans to absorb and believe, there were a few courageous people even back in the mid-60's who tried to tell America that it was all bull. But the old media was so much more powerful then that those voices were easily silenced.

These people who wanted Kerry to win this election thought they could get away with the big lies again just as back in the 60's and ever since. They almost were successful, and our vigilance toward the media MUST continue in the future! But, as all these old media whores continue to spin that Rather's Documentgate was just a MISTAKE and that nothing was purposefully done, that to me is absurd and gets me very angry.

These people knew, it was all done purposefully. The results of SeeBS' little two man "investigation" ought to bring a good laugh!

I heard Kalb last night on Scarborough say that Dan intends to "investigate" this when he is not in his anchor seat.
I honestly think he is saying Dan is going again after the Bush National Guard story instead of his own story.
Why is this not being investigated as a criminal offense?
Passing false documents on the airwaves is a serious crime. This is still not being taken seriously by law officials. Why?

.

CBS should loose its license and be kicked off the public airwaves for attempting to influence a Federal Election. CBS should be shut down and the peoples airwaves should be sold to another broadcaster. They ALL should be fired, if not imprisoned.

CBS is an enemy of America. The Liberals running the FCC need a wake-up call too!

* I heard Kalb last night on Scarborough say that Dan intends to "investigate" this when he is not in his anchor seat. -- I saw it too (twice)

* I honestly think he is saying Dan is going again after the Bush National Guard story instead of his own story. -- That's exactly how I heard it. What an arrogant bast*rd, and Kalb is an old media get-along SUCKUP!

* Why is this not being investigated as a criminal offense? -- LOL! You heard of "the new tone" .....Bush and the RNC just trying to get along? Silly RNC.

* Passing false documents on the airwaves is a serious crime. -- I don't know if it's a crime unless it was purposeful, but I'm not a lawyer.

* This is still not being taken seriously by law officials. -- No kidding.

* Why? -- I don't know why, but I pray we are using this Rather guilt as a playing card in other negotiable matters. Speaking of cards, I remind you of Bush's excellent poker playing!

GWB: HBS MBA -- http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1070924/posts

By reputation, the President was a very avid and skillful poker player when he was an MBA student. One of the secrets of a successful poker player is to encourage your opponent to bet a lot of chips on a losing hand. This is a pattern of behavior one sees repeatedly in George W. Bush’s political career. He is not one to loudly proclaim his strengths at the beginning of a campaign. Instead, he bides his time, does not respond forcefully, a least at first, to critiques from his enemies, no matter how loud and annoying they get. If anything, this apparent passivity only goads them into making their case more emphatically.

Anyone know what Connie Chung is doing these days?

I'm guessing that we won't be seeing ABCCBSNBC posting their "evidence" on their web sites too often anymore.

Klintoon/Rather in 2008??

Yes Dan Rather and Don Rumsfeld own property together in New Mexico. Seems strange to me.

Of course they can't admit to any of this because then there
would be all kinds of criminal, civil, moral, professional, and other liabilities and penalties.
So they want us to believe their BS and let Dam Rather ride off into the sunset.

I believe they made him use them...

Why the need to find someone else to blame? Dan did it. Any other nuance is unnecessary.

Any other nuance is unnecessary.

LOL. Unnecessary to whom?

I guess you have no interest in who hired the shooters for the misdeed on November 22, 1963. You need no more "nuance" than "the single bullet theory" and Dan's dislike for the Bushes?

LOL.
