I'm a combat veteran, and I don't respect that opportunistic, back-stabbing piece of crap one bit. He is not partly right. He is completely a disgrace. < / rant >
Very nicely stated, genefromjersey.
rush did a great job today of ripping hagel's arguments to shreds
BTTT!
Bullsh*t Gene...stop being a sucker for what you read and see.
NAM was not lost over there by the grunt in country but by the elitest PUSSIES back home. We had two from that era, both were traitors one worse than the other.
I'll second what Coop said. Hagel is a back stabbing, opportunistic SOB.
Veteran ?? So What? So was S'Kerry.
He is just an opportunist with his finger in the wind and his nose firmly up the MSM collective butt.
With people like him around, we will be doomed to repeat the past.
Tom Hayden on O'Reilly praised Sen. H for his stand. O'Reilly asked him to acknoledge the millions that died in Cambodia and Vietnam when we pulled out there and TH gulped and changed the subject.
I respect my cat's hacking up of a hair ball......
but I'll be damned if it's gonna be on the couch.
NOT TRUE. FALSE. FALSE. FALSE.
FR thread from yesterday:
Rasmussen poll: 46% say NO to withdrawing troops; 39% say YES.
When you consider LIKEY VOTERS the 39% figure of NO drops to 1/3 or lower.
That's an indication of "increasingly popular?"
Don't think so.
And I suppose you think John Kerry and John McCain should be idolized since they probably "know more about war than most of us would ever care to hear". This is really a limp argument and I will continue to base my opinion on war from what I read, hear and see. I don't need someone who has seen war to stand in my place to form my opinion. I have been blessed with a brain that is meant to be used to form my own opinions.
then he should be the 1st to know about undermining his own troops.
, and knows more about war than most of us would ever care to hear
let me hear him tell how to WIN a war.... anything short of that, he can keep to himself
My son fought in this war, I guess that makes him more of an expert on Iraq than Hagel, and he doesn't agree with him.
If he shows his face in NH, campaigning for the 2008 primary, he's gonna get a good FReepin' !!
Some Vietnam veterans have a different opinion than that of Hagel:
"Vietnam vets in Iraq see 'entirely different war' "
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1467899/posts
Vietnam vets in Iraq see "entirely different war", "the right thing to do"
http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/iraq/2005-06-20-iraq-vietnam-vets_x.htm
Hagel would have demanded that Roosevelt pull our troops out of North Africa, claiming that the Nazis did not attack us.
The "war" didn't begin in Iraq and it doesn't end there either...this is but one field of battle in a larger war. Just as in WWII the Germans were fought in more than one country and the Islamofacists are in more places than just Iraq.
He's an opportunistic a$$hole who should get no respect from anyone. If he thinks this is the road to the White House via the Republican party he's the most delusional politician since Ross Perot.
I'm also a combat veteran, having served in the same war as Hagle. One difference between us is that I'm not a political opportunist who reacts to every whispy change in polling data....
