Principal Fired for Alcohol, Sex Allegations

Reported by Patrick Bell

A Columbus Public School principal is out of a job following accusations of alcohol and sex at school.

The hammer came down Tuesday evening here at district headquarters. Three educators fired, reprimanded, or forced to resign.

It's all part of a stunning investigation involving numerous allegations of sex in school and beer parties in the principal's office.

Hundreds of parents send their children to Wedgewood Middle School every day with the belief their kids are being taught by responsible teachers and administrators.

But what really was happening while class was in session may stun many.

Wedgewood principal Loy Koeller was fired Tuesday from her $83,615 per year job. Here’s why.

Columbus Public Schools officials found that her conduct constituted immorality.

What does that mean?

10TV obtained copies of a district investigation. In it, school personnel claim that during work hours, Koeller drank beer and cocktails with staffers on numerous occasions.

That's not all.

There are also several eyewitness accounts of sexual conduct between the principal and teacher Abbi Terry. In addition, there are reports of Miss Terry taking her top off in Koeller's office along with allegations of the pair engaging in sex acts in other parts of the building.

Since records show Principal Koeller and Teacher Terry now live together, 10TV attempted to speak to the pair, but no one came to the door.

They are not the only ones in trouble with Columbus Public Schools.

Fellow teacher and union representative Thomas Mannerino is also said to have drank on the job with the partying pair. Mannerino resigned Tuesday in a move that prevented him from being fired.

Attempts to contact Mannerino by phone and in person failed.

Teacher Abbi Terry will keep her job. But she was reprimanded.

I should have included the sarcasm tag...

Usually these sex-crazed educator threads feature women having their way with male students, and include pictures of the "hotties" (sometimes, maybe).

In this case, I don't think anyone wants to know what the perpetrators look like! It's probably safe to assume that at least one of them owns a Subaru.

Homosexual Agenda Ping.

Can you believe this? The lesbian teacher who "took her top off" in school, was drinking in school, and doing who knows what with the principal, IN SCHOOL, is still working there?

If this doesn't convince more people to snatch their precious children out of public school, I don't know what would. A three alarm fire?

Freepmail me AND DirtyHarryY2K if you want on/off this pinglist.

Note: It's insane. People who don't see that the insanity are raving mad themselves. Teachers are supposed to be role models - people for children to look up to, emulate, learn from. It used to be that academic qualifications were only part of the requirements for being a teacher. Good character and strong morals used to be necessary too. This is what happens when the good character and morals are thrown out of the window.

The next person to get fired at this school will be some guy who pisses the lesbian off.

Haha! Yeah, and Mayor Manhood would surely have a wise, thoughtful and profound answer I'm sure...

That was such a disaster that Strickland had to enter the primary, 2 months after saying he wouldn't. It hurt Coleman that bad, and it's on tape.

Strickland is dangerous though; he knows how to talk like a good ol' boy, and has a strong base in conservative Southern Ohio. But in reality he's a wholly-owned puppet of Big Unions.
Like the Sinkmeister himself, Strickland has figured out the key to foolin' the bubbas and getting re-elected.

Very true. That is why Strickland would beat Betty or Jim. Blackwell can hang in the conservative areas AND pick up enough black vote to cancel out any slippage in the good old boy vote. Or atleast he has a shot to do that.

Principal Removed After Sex, Alcohol Allegations
Actions Follow Four-Month Investigation

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Columbus Public Schools board fired Wedgewood Middle School Principal Loy Koeller and accepted the resignation of a teacher Tuesday following allegations of inappropriate behavior on school grounds.

The actions followed a four-month investigation in the school, involving numerous incidents of drinking alcohol, taking drugs and having sex on school property, NBC 4's Mike Bowersock reported.

According to a report released Tuesday, Koeller was the worst offender, Bowersock reported.

"It was more like a party house going on," said parent Misty Blevins. "Some of the teachers were drinking while they were in class and they would go to the office. I guess there were a couple of incidents where we were told there were affairs going on within the school."

"The teachers were going out, having other teachers buy beer and all that, and liquor, and come back and drinking in class," said student Scott Blevins.

The drinking and other activities allegedly took place for two years, Bowersock reported.

Witnesses testified they observed Abby Terry, a teacher, "in the principal's office taking off her shirt… leaving herself in a bra only and doing a seductive dance for the principal."

Some teachers brought "cocktails, mixed drinks and beer into the school at noon," according to a witness statement.

A witness statement said the principal would either be drunk or hung over and miss important meetings, including a National Honor Society banquet.

There are other allegations including a gun, cocaine, marijuana and the principal asking other staff members for their prescription medications, Bowersock reported.

"What we found during the course of the investigation was that these allegations were substantiated," said Columbus Public Schools spokesman Greg Viebranz.

The school board terminated Koeller's contract and accepted Terry's resignation.

Most of the alleged improprieties were said to have taken place in the school office. While some teachers were involved in the allegations, most teachers were not. Other teachers at the school tipped off investigators about what allegedly took place, Bowersock reported.

Lesbian predators getting drunk and laid on the taxpayers $'s.

30 years ago, lunatics like these perverts and their union thugs would have been locked up to protect the children. Now with the liberals in charge of the education thuggery, they are principals and teachers.

Thanks for the ping!

I went to Wedgewood in the 70's. I had a problem with a male teacher at that time. You never heard the words "sexual harassment" like you do now. Once I smacked him up the side of his head in class and told him "now let's go to the office" he never said a word to me again. Needless to say we did not go to the office! I didn't tell my parents I guess I figured I took care of it myself.

I have a friend who has a daughter who attended Briggs High School (she has graduated now). Her daughter was sexually attacked in an empty class room by I believe a football player. Not sure if it was football, but he was an athlete of some sort. They went to court and NOTHING was done to this jerk!

BTW, this is not an urban area. It is a part of what is called "Holly Hill."
