The president of Iran stood by his earlier call to "wipe Israel off the map" on Friday, while other Iranian officials played it down and some commentators here suggested it was a sign of what they considered his amateurism.
The president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, was cheered by thousands of supporters during an anti-Israel rally in Tehran on Friday. "My words are the Iranian nation's words," he said of his statement, which was widely condemned around the world, the Iranian news agency IRNA quoted him as saying. "Westerners are free to comment, but their reaction is invalid."
State media reported that hundreds of thousands took part in the annual demonstrations across the country. Protesters chanted "death to America" and "death to Israel" and set fire to American and Israeli flags.

Clancy wrote a book where there was a Iranian president like this. He spent his time destabalizing the middle-east and helped organize a covert chemical weapons attack on america.

Iranians can try their absolute best to wipe Israel off the map but God will not allow the apple of His eye be destroyed.
Israel is proof that there is a God. Many attempts have been made to wipe the Jews off the face of the earth but they have all failed and will continue to fail.
I remember the book! IIRC, Pres Ryan orders the JDAM strike and has it televised on live TV, and then threatens Iran with 'more drastic measures' if they don't immediately fall into line.
I'll take the side of Israel. Hopefully the U.S. will do the same, and not sell out. If we do, it will not go well for us.

Since Iran has confirmed it's very existance to be a mortal threat to Israel, for all intents and purposes having made a declaration of war, I say we let Israel launch a pre-emptive N-strike and wipe it out.
Whats the over under on the Iran declaring war after a US or Isreali strike on nuke facilities?
