During the early part of the 1900's scientists reasoned that if humans were related to monkies, then the evidence of human evolution would be found were monkies are found: namely Africa. This theory is largely unchallenged.

But the fossil record shows that Africa isn't the only place where primates evolved and lived. It is very possible that human life began in the United States.

But don't mention this to the scientific community or leftists. They're far to open minded, accepting, tolerant and willing to look at every point of view to allow their minds to become polluted with such filth as to even entertain this notion.

You mean we are not neccessairly all descended from a lady in Africa named Helen (or whatever they call her) and are thus called by the UN to all get together and sing kumbaya?

issue of Nature a new age for the rock: about 1.3 million years.

Causes real problems with "Out of Africa". "Out of Mexico" is still going on.

Well I think the mitochondrial DNA shows that humans left Africa about 1 million years ago. I think, basically, there are 5 genome types of humans, 4 of which are found only in Africa. All other humans, according to this theory, are descended from a small band of humans who left Africa for the middle east and have spread to the far parts of the earth. The commmon ur-grandmother of all of us (non-Africans) is the so-called Lucy.

"Alleged footprints of early Americans found in volcanic rock in Mexico..."

Okay. All who believe humans or any other creature walked on lava that was soft enough for footprints to be formed, let's see a show of posters!

This is absolutely hilarious! I was cracking up at my computer.

It reminds me of those young earth guys that said some dating techniques would date freshly cooled lava at thousands or millions of years old.

They may have been more correct in their criticisms than many would care to admit.

The more we know, the more we know we don't know.

>>"You're really only left with two possibilities," Renne said. "One is that they are really old hominids - shockingly old - or they're not footprints."<<

This guy isn't much of a critical thinker. There is a third possibility: their dating paradigm/method is flawed and the footprints are not that old.
