Best of my understanding, the Florida law states you do not have to retreat to defend yourself. If you shoot a fleeing felon, you're on shaky ground. With the teens fleeing, how can you claim that you were defending yourself?
What looks "right" and what is "legal" are two different things. Using deadly force can result in a civil lawsuit even when you're in the clear with the criminal justice system.

Yeah, Kim should have waited until they turned at the door and shot him first. Forget the fact that they had already initiated the act with a threat of death.

If you shoot a fleeing felon, you're on shaky ground.Tell them they were facing you when you decided to shoot, but then they turned, and it was too late to hold back. Yes, it might be a lie in some cases.
