I was born in Iran but I was raised in the United Stated. My parents were secular Muslims who like most Iranians had a resentment towards Islam but since they were forced into the religion they believed in it, but later resented being forced into it. As Persians they resented the religion forced onto the nation by Arabs and realized that Jimmy Carter and the Democrats who had this 'deep respect' for 'Islam' and 'Khomeini' as a 'religious man' were wrong, my father cried when that day came and we came to the US. I want to say that I love my country - the United States. I love my religion - Christianity. I will always be blessed by the Republican party for standing by the Shah of Iran for trying to distance Iran from Islam. I've worked on over 20 Republican campaigns, i've started various Republican political organizations. I will continue on this path because unlike many in this country I realize how blessed I am to be here and how blessed I am to be a Christian, Republican, American and of Persian background. I hope one day you will accept me as your representive in congress because I owe my life and my future to you.
This is the greatest country in the history of the world and I am proud to be an American, a Christian and I hope that one day I can represent you.
God bless America, the Republican Party, and everything you have given my family and I.
I can move to Germany and never become a German, I can move to Mexico and never be considered a Mexican. People like you and those like my Grand parents came here and became Americans.
You're a great American, I say this because I have seen you at work here on FR and if you run for office in my district or state, you have my vote
Mike
I pray often for the people of Iran, IMHO Iran could be the real model for Democracy in the Middle east. The young people in Iran are the best hope for the Middle East, and I believe those youngsters will be what brings down the Mullahs who have them b y the throat.
God Bless You!
When you announce your candidacy, I will be the first to donate to your campaign
:~ )
Good post!
How'd your exams go?
As Sean Hannity would say, "You're a great American!" Your post makes me proud to be one, too!
Blessings to you and your family.
God bless you, what a post!
his last name was Mehraban(sp?) pronounced Mar-i-ban.
his family was pro Shah and owned a trucking company, but after his fall most all of their accounts were frozen. my friend was a young Army Sargent and one day some soldiers came in, took away his boss and that was that... nobody never saw him again.
that... was his que to leave. his parents loaded him down with as many gold rings, bracelets, necklace's, watches and coins as he could carry and smuggled him out of the country to America where the gold lasted till he could get better access to the family funds.
he's an aeronautical engineer now.
i pray for Persia to survive too...
oh, yeah... great post!!! 8^)
I knew a guy who was a Persian who told me he loved the
United States, because Truman told the Russians to stay
out of Persia, otherwise he would NUKE 'EM....
Is this true?
P.S. Norman Schwarzkopf dad was head of the Police in
Persia after world war II, in order to train them.
That's one reason why Schwarzkopf knew how to deal with
the middle easterners and their mindset.
So there are lots of Persians who want their country back.
Thank you for the wonderful post. God bless you!
I'm glad you're here with us, and I'm glad you're not a Muslim! I'm happy to call you a Christian brother, and a fellow American! I'll vote for you. :o)
"...unlike many in this country I realize how blessed I am to be here..."
How sad that there are so many Americans who take our freedoms for granted and don't appreciate how blessed we are to live in this great country.
God Bless you freedom44! Thanks for your post.
Welcome to the dark side. ;o)
Good post sir - brother in Christ
