I know. I just wasn't aware the Germans were involved til I saw this. Could be the first time German and French troops have deployed together since the siege of the legations during the Boxer Rebellion. That is, if this bogus ceasefire ever really happens.

I would agree with folks who say Syria may be bighting off a lot more than it can chew, but hostilities never come off exactly how folks thought it would in the beginning.
We'll have to wait and see what Syria is up to.
I didn't think they'd be this stupid either. It's possible that this is just Assad being full of hot air, but the reports FOX and others have had the past few days concerning movement on the border makes me think he's actually going to be stupid enough to try it. It's possible that the ceasefire made Israel appear so weak that Assad thinks now is the best chance to take the Golan Heights.

I just wish they'd wait until the Israeli's can get Bibi back in office. If Olmert misshandles ANOTHER war I see a military coup in Israel's future.

I think that was just to force Israel to expend resources in response instead of sending them into Lebanon.
