Friends, lurkers and media,
The debate between Tom Gallagher and Charlie Crist vying to be the Republican Primary winner to become Florida's next governor is MUST SEE TV and is on NBC statewide tonight, August 28th at 8:oo pm est.
Watch and listen carefully.
1. Which candidate actually answers the questions. 2. What is the degree of difficulty of the questions? 3. Who acts like a grownup? 3. Who's the biggest namedropper on the stage? 4. Who makes promises to do fab things with your hard earned money that you'll never see again? 5. Who do you trust during times of crisis such as hurricanes or regarding issues of securing our borders and illegal immigration? 6. Who has the sniffles? (that's an inside joke from last week's debate).
Tom Gallagher WILL WIN TONIGHT'S DEBATE!
Go, Gallagher!
Please return here about 8:00 pm. Post away! (My office tv is broken so I won't be transcribing tonight's action. I'll be back later.)

Same here. I can't find it on Comcast and I called a friend who's on Knology and it's not on their line-up either.
The two biggest cable providers in the state and neither has this debate.

NBC has the tv coverage. I've checked some of their affiliates sites, and still can't find it.

All NBC affiliates. You didn't miss much. It was funny though. Charlie Crist is Bob Dole.

The moderator admonished Charlie Crist to answer the questions instead of launching into grandiose speeches.

Where did they run this debate.
It was not available here in the Florida Panhandle on Comcast or Knology.
Who was supposed to be carrying it?

Charlie Crist was mean. Tom Gallagher kept his cool.
Crist was so haughty and reminded me of Eddie Haskell from Lv it to Beaver.
SKIP CRIST AND LEAVE IT TO GALLAGHER.

All NBC affiliates. P>I work at a Florida NBC affiliate and we did not have it, nor was it availlable. That was why I was looking for a source.

I tape recorded the audio. It really picks up how much I don't want Crist to win. He was still effeminate but appeared to have had some alpha male lessons since the last debate. He did mention that he had his hair cut this past weekend.
Crist is too expensive. I'll take Gallagher.

In his summary, Crist said "I don't just want your vote, I want your heart."
(all I could think of was his friends in the organ harvesting business, the radical doctors in Florida).
He's not getting my vote or my heart.
I thought I was watching a play. And, when he said he was great on Civil Rights, I thought about poor Terri and poor Martin. They're both dead.

Tom was extra sharp tonight but Crist was on the attack and Crist came across as a metrosexual bully imo. He was making aspersions about Tom and because Tom Gallagher is a gentlemen, he didn't launch. I don't want some Eddie Haskell, I want your heart kind of guy who calls himself Charlie Crist like Bob Dole used to do. Crist couldn't explain where he was gonna get all the money he needed for new spending either. Crist does not answer questions. He makes speeches and gets off the subject. Way off the subject.
Tom did a great job since Crist was somewhat possessed. Media, you can quote me on that. LOL Crist seemed to be possessed tonight. Is there a full moon?
I did tape record the entire debate. Now do I have the will to ever transcribe it? It would be difficult because Crist's specious attacks on Tom Gallagher had to be seen as well as heard.
Quite a personality change in the old boy. He went from bull to bully in one week's time. Very bad show.
Tom Gallagher's personality is more measured. We don't need some bi-polar type for governor. I truly believe Crist is bi-polar and everybody enables him which is why he's gotten this far. I pray he gets no further. Floriduh Voter

In his summary, Crist said "I don't just want your vote, I want your heart." I think he was telling the truth with that one.

I watched the debate and,IMHO, neither came across well. Seemed they both focused more on bashing each other than on issues. Think they gave ammunition to whomever will be the Dem opponent.

Crist's spending sprees would raise taxes which in turn hurt business which in turn causes more spending (bailouts, unemployment programs). We may well have an income tax if Charlie's in no matter what he says now.
I'm not talking about the teacher pay raise, small conpared to some of the grandiose things he supports. But in all honesty the average teacher makes more than 90% in the real estate industry and 50% in the financial industry.

Thanks. I've been refreshing that page, but so far, it only has the previous debate. I'm listening to that again now.

The flip side is that Crist's liberal record does mean the end of conservative control of the Florida GOP. Crist would be just as heavily sponsored by insurance should he win the primary and at least Tom has demanded a special session to tackle the insurance problem.
