Type “The fabulous ruins of Detroit” into your search engine. It’s a most interesting photographic tour of a veritable lost world.

I found it interesting that San Francisco was the fastest shrinking city in California. Hummmm.....

What a site. It’s almost as if there was a war or something in Detroit.

I went there too. Haunting. I was born in Dearborn and lived in Detroit suburbs until I was 10 years old, at which point my father (who had been laid off by Ford) dragged us down to Miami, Florida. This was back in 1963, and I have not been back since.
I didn't really recognize the ruins (except for Belle Isle)... but I do remember, in grammar school, being taken on a tour of at least one of the automotive plants. It was fascinating.
It's kind of spooky to see so much of Detroit in ruins, though.

Re: the ruins of Detroit. Someone should turn that into a pamphlet entitled “A Monument to Unionism.”

Type The fabulous ruins of Detroit into your search engine. Nice way to direct people to a neo-Nazi white nationalist site without volunteering the url. I have a feeling that links to that site aren't really appreciated here.

Type The fabulous ruins of Detroit into your search engine. Its a most interesting photographic tour of a veritable lost world. Sad. The Cadillac Clark Street facility is one of the lost landmarks that is not listed in the "Industrial ruins" section. I used to work across the street at the Scotten Vehicle Engineering facility. Walking through the abandoned assembly plant was spooky even in broad daylight. I can imagine a good novel or horror movie set there.
