Thank you, Hildy. I understand what you meant, now. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
I wish you well on this journey.
Petronski, as much as I love your posts, don't you think that something positive has come from this thread?
I found out that there is one who is seeking...and I approve of that message.
Please...don't turn this into another Terri thread.
Yes...He does.
I hope you don't mind, Hildy, but I said a prayer that you would find what you are seeking.
I hope you read wardaddy's post rightly. It wasn't an attack, but witness to what Christianity is all about.
"But today so many folks confuse Christianity with just being nice and good deeds. Nothing could be further from the truth. It involves an unabashed and emphatic belief that Jesus truly is the Son of God sent here to absolve us of our sins and that we should believe in this and accept it without qualification. Folks understand this completely and the rest will follow. The notion that Jesus expected folks to get all mushy and other worldly is a result of this obsession on the deeds aspects which is something liberal denominations fixate on because it suits them. Traditionalists like myself still pay heed to the laws give to God to your people which is the foundation from which all this springs. That brings many other ideas and laws into play besides good works."
