Laura Ingraham - PALIN: The PERFECT Conservative Choice!!
Townhall ^ | August 29, 2008 | Laura Ingraham

Posted on 08/29/2008 5:45:39 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Most conservatives did not think that the selection of Palin was truly under consideration, but we have all been pleasantly surprised. Perhaps “surprised” understates our emotions. How about “shocked”, “awed”, “inspired”, and “thrilled”! It simply doesn’t get any better than the 44 year old Palin. If conservatives were caught off guard, you may rest assured that the Democrats were even more blown away – and in spite of last night’s Obama euphoria, they will lose considerable sleep tonight.

Look at this! Palin is all of:

· A Devout Christian

· Pro-Life & Traditional Family Values

· Fiscal Conservative

· Tax-Cutter

· Business Executive Experience

· Energy Expert & Oil Industry Savvy

· Peace Through Strength Philosophy

· Gubernatorial Experience

· Lifetime Member of the NRA

Her great looks, classy image, poise, grit, and speaking skills will establish her as a dynamo on the campaign trail. It just doesn’t get any better than this! I am almost as excited as I was organizing rallies for Reagan during the 1980s.

This was a hard fight for a high stakes appointment, with much blogging, e-mailing, and lobbying behind the scenes. It’s time to unite, heal the wounds, and defeat the humanist-secularist-socialist-enivironmentalwacko-pacifist-extremist-religionists and further the cause of LIFE, LIBERTY, & TRUTH!

It'll go in the next edition.

She is a pretty lady.

The Ann Coulter Rule should be equally applied to Sarah Palin. Picture required:

"Obama = Community Organizer (whatever that is)"

It's communist agitation.

You mean he was the weirdo handing out the “Young Communist Brigade” newspapers at the university commons?

Do you understand they are our only choices in this election cycle.

Please show me where it is written one must vote for socialists because they have an R or D after their names especially since they are essentially one party ideologically thanks to the incremental movement of the GOP towards socialism to expand their voting base.

What are you, some kind of a troll going thread to thread to pour warm piss on the only bright spot of this election cycle?

You need to understand where you're posting. This is a conservative website, not a GOP or RAT website. If anyone is to be called a troll it would be those who support socialists like McCain or Obama.

Maybe I should steal a page out of your playbook and insist on historical examples of third party winners since the advent of broadcast communications, then make a dopey, easily refuted assertion like "all veeps are chosen because of they're just like the head of the ticket." (cough cough Liberman)

You need to learn the difference between wishful thinking and analysis if you're going to rise above the level of poser when giving an informed opinion.

You need to understand where you're posting.

And you need to check signup dates to see who needs to be instructing whom on the lay of the land around here.

Maybe you should realize it is a false premise to believe you are actually winning by sacrificing conservative values to jump on the socialist bandwagon simply because a candidate belongs to a particular party. The flip side to the logical concept VP's ultimately acquiesce to their bosses demands is the ridiculous notion somehow VP's dictate an administration's policy. That couldn't further from the truth.

You need to learn the difference between wishful thinking and analysis if you're going to rise above the level of poser when giving an informed opinion.

You need to understand in any organization policy flows from the top down. Subordinates either accept the policies or leave. The same holds true for any VP in any administration.

And you need to check signup dates to see who needs to be instructing whom on the lay of the land around here.

Your statements are becoming more ridiculous with each post. The length of time as a freeper doesn't make anyone's statements more or less valid. If you bother to review the FR homepage you'll see there is no policy granting more credibility points based on seniority. Go pedal your superiority scam on someone else.

I'm not kidding here: you really don't get it. The VP is not going to change her boss's mind about anything. She's going to be a good little soldier and do what he tells her. Then one day he is going to leave office, and she is going to be left as the most senior, most experienced, elected executive in her party...i.e. the party's de facto standard bearer. And if she's smart and runs her own campaign well, she becomes the boss and does things the way she wants.

Are you an immigrant that hasn't caught on to how American politics works yet?

It does when presuming to instruct others on how things work around here....

Oh I see, your line of reasoning is Palin sacrificing her conservative principles and supporting a socialist somehow strengthens the conservative cause. That type of thinking is what has caused the GOP to move so far to the left over the past several years. The major flaw in your twisted logic is it becomes an open ended and therefore losing proposition. You'll always be waiting for the next election to make your move.

Are you an immigrant that hasn't caught on to how American politics works yet?

Ah yes, when all else fails start slinging the insults. That's another strategy that has worked well for the GOP.

Presuming is the operative word. Tell it to the powers to be on FR. Maybe they'll make a rule just for you to strut your self perceived superiority. You're a legend in your own mind.

No, just the brittle ideologue that ends up being a party of one.

I have found, or, should I say, my wife has found, a little more information on Gov. Palin’s views. I assume it is ok to post links to transcripts of interviews with Gov. Palin, such as in Time:

http://www.time.com/time/politics/article/0,8599,1837536,00.html

and Business Week:

http://www.businessweek.com/bwdaily/...829_272692.htm

If anyone else has more, please post!

“But doesnt this take away McCain’s biggest club to beat Obama with? (Experience)”

Just the opposite. Every time a Dem operative talks about lack of experience, every listener will be reminded that Obama is an empty suit. The Republicans won’t have to mention it again. The Dems are stupid enough to mention it every day until and after the election. McCain can hit them on policy.

You should run! You are more qualified than Tom Coburn (R-OK) was when he first went to the House of Reperesentatives.
