By the way, just heard on FOX News something about the committees working on this bailout bill just had their Blackberries confiscated so they can't communicate with the outside world. I pray I misheard that.
If they tried to take my personal property there would be violence. Who can order such a thing?
I think you are absolutely right! I wish I was in DC. We did that here in Nashville a few years back. They did the exact same thing. They were trying to sneak in a state income tax and they locked themselves in the capital building late at night but the people rose up. We drove around the building blowing horns and making a horrible racket. People had signs and were yelling and even pounding on the locked door. The media was there and it was being made very public. In the end they backed down and voted it down.
I fear it is to late.
The poll numbers might not reflect reality. There are a lot of people very upset, but face it, there are a lot on FR that say if this bail out doesn’t happen, it is Lord of the Flies in every city by the end of the year.
As for the truth? Who knows. But I suspect that we have a gun to our heads, and the only question is how many will go down.
They are counting on violence! It makes “emergency laws” that much more easier!
I bet you're right. He was instrumental in having the House Republicans included in the primary discussions, and if the dems are squealing now and pointing at him in particular, then their socialist plans are getting stomped on. Excellent.
Our founders knew that the right to own property was sacrosanct,...just like the right to life, liberty, and pursuiing happiness. At what point does one act....when the officers of the law are lawless.
I too fear the doomsday scenarios, and I don’t know the probabilities. But after much research and discussion, I am now convinced that the Paulson/Dodd plan is a travesty. Some hybrid of Cantor and Paulson (i.e., mix of insurance and very, very limited purchase of mortgage securities only, with no ownership of private institutions) might pass the smell test. But between what’s on the table now and economic collapse, I take collapse.

this bailout crisis. I have thought all along that their
wrongheaded policies caused the crisis in the first place.
The R’s need to stand together and hang tough and not cave
to these crazies! They need to name the names of those who
confiscated their Blackberries....and they need to be

to bring this country to its knees WITH the Supreme Court the only branch of the federal government BARELY in POLITICALLY CONSERVATIVE hands JUST AS Obama and his minions take the reins amidst RACIAL RIOTING and FINANCIAL CRISIS and they then proceed to sell out the country to the radical muslim extremists with whom Obama turns out to be related to (on his father’s side) which is who have been financing him and molding him for the past 28 years or so for JUST THIS PURPOSE?
