No "girly" dog for the Obamas
Barbara Walters interviewed the Obamas, due to air tonight, and of course the topics of doggies came up. She, along with millions of Americans, actually sent Michelle Obama a picture of her beloved Havanese dog, Cha Cha Cha. (We're not kidding.)
Here's the back and forth between Obama and Bawbwa:
Obama: "Cha Cha?"
Bawbwa: "It's short for Cha Cha Cha."
O: "What is a Havanese?"
B: "It's like a little terrier and they're non-allergenic and they're the sweetest dogs.."
O: [Face suddenly changes.] "It's like a little yappy dog?"
Michelle: "Don't criticize."
O: "It, like, sits in your lap and things?"
M: "It's a cute dog."
O: "It sounds kinda like a girly dog."
M: "We're girls. We have a houseful of girls."
O [with hand gestures]: "We're going to have a big rambunctious dog, of some sort."
....
O: "We're getting more advice about this [what kind of dog to get] than my economic policies. No doubt about it."
This prove what a “serious” news reporter Barbie Walters is. Is it any wonder she couldn’t make it as a nightly news anchor?
If her name is on it, I shy away from watching it.
The family has a ‘girly’ father. That’s enough of a punishment.
I don't think Obama has ever claimed to have spent any of his youth in Kansas. That's where his mother was born, but even she moved away.
Name it BEETS.
That was the first thing he’s ever said that was remotely appealing...
However, we must stay away from the Kool-Aid...I’ve heard it does things to you intelligence.
Glad to see a couple of people who see this for what it is. A few very normal reactions and conversations about types of dogs... not rude, not telling of some buried psychosis, he sounds like a normal guy on this.
To say otherwise says more about the poster than Obama.
I bet they have no dog at all. Bozo will keep coming up with excuses why they can’t have dogs.

Great photo!! We’ve had 2 Choc Labs. Our current guy (Mugsy) is 14 1/2 but still going strong!
That said, with an allergic child, a Havanese is a perfect choice for this family. They are really great dogs. But, I have to give it to The Messiah, he sounds like he would prefer a “proper” dog, as one of my Brit friends says.
You only showed the dog’s head — the head is graceful, the body is graceful, but the head is way too small for the body! It looks like another dog’s head was PhotoShop’d on iy.
Well we know it wasn’t from botox injections..
Pity he doesn’t just take his girls to an animal shelter or two and have them decide that way. Better yet, many animal shelters show pictures online of the dogs up for adoption.
I stand corrected. I thought those pictures of him with his grandparents were taken in Kansas. Guess they were taken on the island. I still think he’s pretty dumb when it comes to dogs.
Havanese is a Cuban breed, how appropriate.

Wait until all the lavish inauguration celebrations...While most of the rest of America just tries to survive this monstrous incompetent government, they'll be dancing in luxury.
