Just one-out-of-three voters (34%) now believe global warming is caused by human activity, the lowest finding yet in Rasmussen Reports national surveying. However, a plurality (48%) of the Political Class believes humans are to blame.
Forty-eight percent (48%) of all likely voters attribute climate change to long-term planetary trends, while seven percent (7%) blame some other reason. Eleven percent (11%) aren't sure.
These numbers reflect a reversal from a year ago when 47% blamed human activity while 34% said long-term planetary trends.
Most Democrats (51%) still say humans are to blame for global warming, the position taken by former Vice President Al Gore and other climate change activists. But 66% of Republicans and 47% of adults not affiliated with either party disagree.
Sixty-two percent (62%) of all Americans believe global warming is at least a somewhat serious problem, with 33% who say it's Very Serious. Thirty-five percent (35%) say it's a not a serious problem. The overall numbers have remained largely the same for several months, but the number who say Very Serious has gone down.
Forty-eight percent (48%) of Democrats say global warming is a Very Serious problem, compared to 19% of Republicans and 25% of unaffiliateds.
President Obama has made global warming a priority for his administration. Half (49%) of Americans think the president believes climate change is caused primarily by human activity. This is the first time that belief has fallen below 50% since the president took office. Just 19% say Obama attributes global warming to long-term planetary trends.
Forty-eight percent (48%) rate the president good or excellent on energy issues. Thirty-two percent (32%) give him poor grades in this area.
Sixty-three percent (63%) of adults now say finding new sources of energy is more important that reducing the amount of energy Americans currently consume. However, 29% say energy conservation is the priority.
A growing number of Americans (58%) say the United States needs to build more nuclear plants. This is up five points from last month and the highest finding so far this year. Twenty-five percent (25%) oppose the building of nuclear plants.
Alaska's huge glaciers are advancing after 270 years of warmth
These 116,000 year mega global warming cycles have occurred four times during the past 360,000 years, all of which experienced a major rise in temperatures.
Is this disinformation for the innumerate? Four complete cycles equal 464,000 years.
%34 percent denies the Sun making them hot.
I suspect the number may be much higher though ... more like ... 53%
CO2 is a trace element in the atmosphere, with the latest estimate being about 380 parts per million. Water vapor is the most common greenhouse gas. Without greenhouse gases, the Earth would be too cold for humans.
But ask anyone if they think greenhouse gases are bad, and 99% will say yes, because most people are ignorant of scientific facts. Obama would like to keep people ignorant, so he can get cap & trade taxes. Those taxes, which would easily be several hundred billion dollars a year, would kill our economy.
Most of our Congressmorons are also ignorant of the facts.
Guess who wins that pissing contest.
If Algore puts out another movie that number will probably go back to 50%. Most people are dumb.
What exactly is the Political Class?
There are two ways to look at that, 1)Democrats are so full of Hot Air, if you stuck a pin in them they would Pifzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz right into space. 2) Man cannot, could not and will not deter Mother Nature...only nits would believe they had a hand in the last 100 years .01% warming of our planet. It's the money honey....TAXES.
Sixty-two percent (62%) of all Americans believe global warming is at least a somewhat serious problem.
This despite the fact that the world has been COOLING for the past decade. People have been brainwashed into believing this ridiculous myth.
That number is very near the core base of lberalism.
Add in sixteen years at government indoctrination centers and this is very good news for us.
Hence, the need for a slow ponderous legislative session this year and next. Slow it down. Obstrutction is liberty.
Best explanation of global warming I have seen.

So...are we all gonna die, or not?
Who gives a rats -— what people “believe” about a scientific topic anyway? It’s not about what anyone “believes.”
The problem with belief systems is that the political agendas then follow.
This is, of course, a simple scientific question. And thus far, the science (of course) shows the Nobel Prize winner, Al Gore, to be completely wrong.
Now that’s change that I can believe in!!
My favorite gloBULL warming article is this one:
31,000 Scientists Rejecting Global Warming Theory to be Named Monday
How many of the alarmists have put their signature on anything claiming their opinions are correct?
The problem is that no one took any notice. We are STILL being bombarded with ridiculous notions of “consensus”. They only hear what they want to hear.
Thanks for the link!
