The Competitive Enterprise Institute has obtained internal EPA e-mails that show the agency willfully and recklessly disregarded scientific data that undermined the bureaucracys global warming zealotry. This information is especially relevant as Congress rushes to pass the cap-and-trade nightmare on Friday.
-----snip----
The email notes the quantity of peer-reviewed references in the study, and defends its inclusion of new research as well. It states Mr. Carlins view that the critical attribute of good science is its correspondence to observable data rather than where it appears in the technical literature. It goes on to point out that the new studies explain much of the observational data that have been collected which cannot be explained by the IPCC models.
----snip----
a March 17 email from Mr. McGartland to Mr. Carlin, stating that he will not forward Mr. Carlins study. The time for such discussion of fundamental issues has passed for this round. The administrator and the administration has decided to move forward on endangerment, and your comments do not help the legal or policy case for this decision

The EPA is burying its own reports that go against global warming. Why is the administration making decisions based on religion instead of science?

The debate is over. Saint AlBore said so.
Don’t confuse me with facts, I have already made up my mind.
That is what one of the e-mails in effect says.

Absolutely a smoking gun!
But enough about that. What the people really need to know is Obama’s favorite ice cream flavor.

The EPA is essentially saying - the policy is decided, the facts are irrelevant.

"You may have heard that our budget was cut by 66%." Al McGartland, PhD, Director, National Center for Environmental Economics, to Alan Carlin, et al.
"... your comments do not help the legal or policy case for this decision."
, "I can see only one impact of your comments given where we are in the process, and that would be a very negative impact on our office." and,
"I don't want you to spend any additional EPA time on climate change. No papers, no research etc,....",
"I would like you to work with marrietta to ge that grants data base in place.", and
"Also, I'd like you to update part of the market incentives report - inventorying the market incentive programs undertaken by the states...."
With the other text here, it is clear that Alan Carlin's job is being threatened if he doesn't get on the bandwagon with the rest of them, and he's being assigned what may be inappropriate tasks as punishment for pushing the issue.

Nothing to see here. Move on.org. Move on.
The government (er, liberals) never lie about AGW (er, WMD) to get their agenda passed - and never obstructs legislation processes to prevent debate.

Let's see, Algore's face is getting redder, but the actual scientists say we're cooling down. Who to believe ?

We all know it's not about Global Warming/Climate Change.
It's all about a huge transfer of wealth from the spoiled "haves" to the envious "have nots".
