Who: Rep. John Carter (R-TX)

What: Exclusive interview regarding censorship on the Hill.

Carter Soundbite #1: 24 Republicans Had Constituent Mailings Delayed.

“Twenty-four Republican Members of Congress have a similar story about different language that the Democrats held up their communication until they changed the language … So they prevent us from communicating our message by just stalling us.”

Carter Soundbite #2: Republicans Forced To Use Pelosi Talking Points.

“We had put in that speech the words ‘The Democratic majority is bringing out their government run health care program…we had to strike the term Democrat majority and put ‘majority party is releasing its public option health care plan.’ Well, public option is a talking point of Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama.”

Tell your Congressman to Sue (Class Action) with major claims. This is knuckle fighting and the Dems do it by nature. They are not going to get nice until their noses are bruised.

Can we find out who (specifically) the Dems are who are denying free speech rights to Republican congressman. These criminals should be known so we can give them a “people’s response.”

Sorry but I am finding this one hard to believe. How can the Dems prevent another congressman from a mass mailing.

DC must not have a Kinkos around.

The House sets its own rules — and a tyrannical Speaker has tremendous power to pervert the process. Darn good video!

I am sad to say that John Carter is my representative (PLEASE READ ON)because I want to go to a ‘Town Hall’ meeting and scream my head off and I am afraid that the insurance companies will not furnish me a bus seat to visit our previous congressman’s (Chet Edwards, career politician)new district that includes Waco and Bryan/College Station .

I do not know of Carter voting other than the conservative agenda. He is sandwiched between two democrats (Lloyd Doggett, who got screamed out of Austin at his meetings and Edwards.

as an aside, regardless of my tag line, I will vote for 35% goodhair before Kay Bailey, big time Washingtonian RINO...

This about being able to do mailings paid for by our tax dollars, not campaign mailings.

The House Franking Committee is charged with determining the constraints of congressional constituent mailings. The Democrats are playing hard ball and not letting the Republicans send out mailings with obvious political content. Of course the Democrats will send out the same all the time and I doubt that when the Republicans where in charge they every were so petty to require the same.

But it does give Republicans a chance to cry censorship, which is good for some political traction.
