He doesn’t owe anyone squat.
He’s not required to talk to the cops either.
His lawyers (and Nike’s) disagree with the confessional.
Larry nails it.
(Sort of like Elin did...)
I suppose if part of his success is due to people being “fans,” then he will have to live with the inevitable backlash when the media has ammunition to use against him. Drawing it out will only make it worse.
As for me, I don’t care about anything other than his golf game, if that.
Nike, Gatorade, AT&T, et al., beg to differ.
It also didn’t help when he refused to talk to police. Twice. Its unfortunate that celebs can’t keep their pants/panties on. A week ago he was someone kids and adults alike could look up to as one of the few good guys. Today, not so much.
WHY did Larry say there was NO INFIDELITY with Tiger, when that is what this is all about??????
It’s not so much what he “has” to do. Legally, he’s done all he needs to do, unless someone shows up with a warrant. But publicity-wise, Kudlow’s right. Fans and possibly endorsements might be at stake, and that’s going to make his privacy very expensive.
Of course he owes no one anything, nor is he owed any endorsements— should the companies he is hooked up with decide that he’s damaged goods because of this little contratemps.
This ranks around 266,715th of ‘news’ stories I’m concerned about.
If his name was Fred Jones of Ottumwa, Iowa, nobody would care about this stuff...............
Further, why is anyone - particularly FReepers - wasting their time with it?
Fess up, Tiger. If you dont, the tabloids are gonna kill ya.
Ummmm..., I think he did... LOL...

As you all know, I had a single-car accident earlier this week, and sustained some injuries. I have some cuts, bruising and right now I'm pretty sore.
This situation is my fault, and it's obviously embarrassing to my family and me. I'm human and I'm not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn't happen again.
This is a private matter and I want to keep it that way. Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible.
The only person responsible for the accident is me. My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false.
This incident has been stressful and very difficult for Elin, our family and me. I appreciate all the concern and well wishes that we have received. But, I would also ask for some understanding that my family and I deserve some privacy no matter how intrusive some people can be.
I thought it was the other way 'round...........
