The reported capturing of a Muslim women in Reus (Tarragona) and the issuing of a stoning sentence for adultery by religious fanatics are a gauge of a phenomenon that has already appeared in Holland and France, and which is now taking root in Catalonia: the creation of Islamic "moral brigades" by fundamentalists, who claim the role of judges and police officers imposing a strict observance of Sharia, or Islamic law.
The theatre of the incursions of these Islamic "moral patrols" are the rural towns where the mosques are controlled by Salafists, a fundamentalist sect of Islam, with a substantial presence in the province of Tarragona.
These groups are heavily inspired by the Koran and the rigid regulations applied in countries such as Saudi Arabia and Nigeria.
Many of the victims do not dare report their persecution, and intimidation continues for them. Investigators have confirmed beatings and segregation by their parents or spouses of women who do not wear veils, and the case of a Moroccan teenager who was beaten because he played football with other non-Muslim children.

At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves (within their ghettos) under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islamists is to establish Sharia law over the entire world.
When Muslims approach 10% of the population, they tend to increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions. In Paris, we are already seeing car-burnings. Any non-Muslim action offends Islam, and results in uprisings and threats, such as in Amsterdam, with opposition to Mohammed cartoons and films about Islam. It is important to understand that in some countries, with well under 100% Muslim populations, such as France, the minority Muslim populations live in ghettos, within which they are 100% Muslim, and within which they live by Sharia Law. The national police do not even enter these ghettos. There are no national courts, nor schools, nor non-Muslim religious facilities. In such situations, Muslims do not integrate into the community at large. The children attend madrasses. They learn only the Koran. To even associate with an infidel is a crime punishable with death. Therefore, in some areas of certain nations, Muslim Imams and extremists exercise more power than the national average would indicate.
Today’s 1.5 billion Muslims make up 22% of the world’s population. But their birth rates dwarf the birth rates of Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, Jews, and all other believers. Muslims will exceed 50% of the world’s population by the end of this century.

And a poor system at that, otherwise they would stay home and not migrate to the west. I have absolutely nothing against Muslims but the problem is that first they migrate to the west, because many of them don’t even have a pot to piss in (pardon the expletive) and once here many of them do not like to be integrated or assimilated and revert back to their old traditions and habits which did not get them anywhere in the first place. And to top it of they want others to comply and follow suit. A good example is Israel’s westernized society occupying about as much land as New Jersey and having approximately the same GNP as Egypt, Jordan and Syria combined, this should tell you something.

There are no Islamic ‘moral brigades’ in Holland, wanting to impose the Sha’ria. This is patently untrue. I should know, because I live in Holland.
The main threat to Dutch political life is a politician by the name of Geert Wilders. He is anti-democratic. His party is the only party ever in Holland organized in a non-democratic way. The sole member and leader of Wilders’ party is Wilders himself. All other 8 MP’s merely are his shoeshine boys. They never vent any ideas of their own. They are not allowed any freedom of speech or thinking. They obey to his every whim.
I dare place a very safe bet: all, truly all Freepers would love to rip his party to shreds, if it existed in the U.S.A. and would represent a political force of note.
The party that comes closest to the GOP in Holland wouldn’t want to form a coalition with Wilders at gunpoint.

No. He is a criminal, and he serves jail time for his transgression. But he surely is not a representative for a large movement in the Dutch muslim population.
Immigration is a complex issue in itself. Mass immigration of people with the same, and foreign to Holland, religion is even more complex. We’re stuck in a difficult situation these days, and there are no ready-made solutions.
I mentioned the name of anti-politician Wilders. He is a dangerous man, in as much as he demonizes muslims. They in turn get more fearful as a result, and tend to isolate themselves. Wilders’ politics cause a horrific self-fulfilling prophecy.
What Wilders does is analogous to the racism that plagued the U.S. up until the ‘60s of the last century.
I for one don’t want that. I would not accept devotees of Wilders in my circle of friends and acquaintances. Simple as that.
