Actually, the real scoop is that Huckabee has crawled to within one thin point of The One at 46/45. But I already teased the good news for him a few days ago, so here’s the Palinistas’ chance to feel encouraged. She trailed The One by 12 points in late October. Six weeks later, thanks to the book tour and the debacle that is ObamaCare, she’s cut it in half.

If Sarah can keep the Goron debating her in the media, her popularity will soar.

Apparently Huckabee’s interviews on Fox News, The View, and Jon Stewart have helped him in blunting the damage from his clemencies. The poll reveals that people are willing to give Huckabee the benefit of the doubt.

Palin’s media appearances on Oprah, Fox News, and Barbara Watlers have her as well. She needs to stop hiding in Facebook and make more tv interviews if she wants people to take her more seriously.

She's essentially exactly where George Bush is in that earlier poll

It's disappointing that the GOP can't field a prospective candidate that fails to surpass GWB's in comparison to Obama.

I think she is much closer then that. I saw a poll last week that had her within 1 of Obama. Isnt PPP the same poll that had Hoffman winning by 20 points

"The poll reveals that people are willing to give Huckabee the benefit of the doubt.

And why not?

We gave the benefit of doubt to the far more culpable Washington State idiots who continued to play "Clemmons-cy" after he committed multiple felonieis in their state. At least he did 11 years in Arkansas vs. ZIPPO for far greater crimes in Washington.

And a Question: Of all the under-age teenagers in America who committed 1 burglary and 1 unarmed robbery (netting young Clemmons $16), what percentage served 11 or more years in prison?

My guess is 3% or less.

Why don't we know the names of the Washington State officials who committed the far greater stupidity? We don't know the names because they are Democrats being sheltered by their many corrupt allies in the press.

She is.

3 points in the Rasmussen poll head to head against 0bama.
Level with 0bama in this week's CNN approve/disapprove poll.

Yup.
They had Hoffman winning by 17%.
PPP is also notorious for peddling politically inspired anti-Palin push polls.

You didn't read the first sentence of this thread. It says:

“Actually, the real scoop is that Huckabee has crawled to within one thin point of The One at 46/45.”

Bush v Obama was 44/50. So, Huckabee squeaks by Bush by one. You would think that as unpopular as Bush was - approval in the 20's when he left office, a GOP candidate would be able to break the 50% barrier fairly easily, especially considering how far Obama has fallen the last 5 months - some 20 points or more.

I'm not saying it's bad news for Huckabee or Palin, just a little disappointing that neither can surge well past Bush.

Bush v Obama was 44/50 : -6
Huckabee v Obama was 45/46 : -1

Difference between Huckabee and Bush versus 0bama: 5%

If the poll lines between Obama and Dubya cross paths, then expect Jeb Bush to seriously consider running in 2012.

I agree. Huck got a bad rap for reducing the sentence of a 16 year old burglar from 108 years to 46.
