Wonder why this hit the newspapers, as I thought that this was fairly typical for the Yellowstone area.

Danny Glover's earthquake questionnaire:
Earthquakes are due to:
A) Man-made carbon dioxide
B) Failure to sign a deal in Copenhagen
C) Homophobia
D) George W. Bush
E) All of the above

Being not too far “down wind” of Yellowstone, I’ve been watching this swarm rather closely. Thanks for the post.

Farrell said that there is absolutely no connection between what is occurring in Yellowstone and the magnitude 7.0 earthquake in Haiti. The only explanation for this comment is that some idiotic reporter asked this question.

It's amazing how little we really know about the planet we live on, and how much of what we think we know can be proved wrong so completely and without warning.
Seems to me, and it's pure speculation, these continual swarms of relatively minor quakes serve to relieve pressure that if it were not relieved would lead to much more consequential releases of stress.
But then, what do I know?
