We were an ice planet at one point in the earth’s history. The environment changed dramatically when volcanoes under the ice sheets erupted and melted it all.

Whenever you read about " glaciers and ice sheets" melting in Antarctica, they are talking about the western ice field. The West Antarctic Ice Sheet is the only part of Antarctica that is shedding. Now we know why. The rest of the continent is gaining in ice and snow cover.

When steam and volcanic ash finally poke through the glacial shelf, that should be AGW’s death knell.

Interesting - all the references you see to loss of Anartic ice actually concerns the western area.
They like to ignore how the ice is growing and thickening in the east.

Snowbanks, EVERYWHERE, melt from the bottom up. It is no different with a glacier.
There is much to be said for observed “global warming” that has far less to do with anthropogenic sources, or even the solar radiation received, than from an exhalation of heat from the interior of our own planet.
Our earth’s core is cooling, but is still a huge resevoir of heat energy, kept at its present level by decaying radioactive isotopes. And we still have a lot of those.

Volcanic eruptions, caused by global warming according to most “scientists” and “experts”, can really play hell with a sheet of ice.

Wales is 160 miles long by 60 miles wide, or 8,000 square miles.
One wonders how much larger...
