I don't have to know the enemies doctrine to know that I will fight against it. I know my religion and that's all I need to know.

I don't know what causes cancer, but I am against it, and if I get it I will find out enough about it to fight it, but I don't have to be a doctor or an internist to fight it.

If only somem of America's bleeding hearts would use some of this "know your enemy" sentiment to take a good look at the progressive movement trying to ruin our military and economy and open the doors wide open to the islamics, then we wouldn't feel the need to memorize the koran to fight against a 10th century religion (cult).

Now you and the other guy decide to bust my chops because I stated how I feel about islam. I do know quite a bit about it, but the original article was telling me I need to study it some more, and I say hell no. I have that right and that freedom.

As you can surmise, I do have accesss to the internet, a county library, and have been on FR since 1998, so there is not too much about islam that escapes my attention, so I think I'll be up on it enough to protect myself and join in the fight, but I'm not going to STUDY it.

Now for all I know you and Mr. Steele might be on a recruiting mission for allah, and I am done with this conversation. One of the ways I try to fight it is to not have discussions about it with its promoters.

Have a nice day.

I am NOT a promoter of Islam. I didn’t get that the author of the article wants us to study islam, but that a basic knowledge of what its basic tenets are, is important. When my kids ask why the islamaniacs want to kill us, I want to be able to tell them the truth, and that means I have to know the truth and the history. This is one area where “because I said so” is just not enough information for my kids to start critically thinking about the enemy we face. The people who adhere to this cult (any cult) can be very ... seductive. I want them to understand, before college.

That was my first taste of islam, from an “easter/christmas” muslim (ha). He made islam sound like just another religious sect, maybe he even felt that way (I’m sure he did). But I have a strong Christian faith that islam was not going to break through.

Too many people nowadays, just see the pretty pictures, without knowing the full, bloody, story.
