Cancun, Mexico - Bolivian President Evo Morales called Thursday to save the Kyoto Protocol and to create an international climate justice tribunal.
'The planet is wounded,' Morales, Bolivia's first president of indigenous descent, said in Mexico's Caribbean resort city of Cancun.
'We have an enormous responsibility with life and with humanity,' he told the UN Climate Conference in a 20-minute speech.
Morales asked industrialized nations to approve a second round of commitments to the Kyoto Protocol, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions after 2012.
'If we send the Kyoto Protocol to the bin, we will be responsible for 'ecocide,' and thus for genocide, because we would be attacking humanity as a whole,' he said.
Morales called delegates to discuss not just the effects of climate change, but also its consequences, which he blamed on capitalism.
'We have the obligation to change those policies,' he said.

“Indigenous” phony baloney money grubbers. Thanks to Morales for putting it all out in the open for us. The smart people on this planet figured out how to make farming more efficient and mechanized. Then we industrialized and finally moved to computers and high tech. Europe, parts of Asia, America, etc figured out how to do this. Often just copying each other which isn’t too difficult.
These BS “indigenous people” want that wealth for free. I should say their leaders want it to steal because any wealth transfer will be stolen anyway. My advice to “indigenous” BS artists is to get your people educated and learn how to build wealth by farming, mining and industry.
Next tinpot dictator to the mic, please. Just look what happeneds when you open the door to allow community organizers in.
What Morales really meant to say was: “We’re dirt poor, and with an ignorant, stupid, socialist clown like me in office, we’ll stay dirt poor. So all you rich countries give us the wealth you worked hard for so I can stay in office and help keep my countrymen impoverished.”
Travelin man, huh? Lol
Ease up and take some breaks Ernest. Dwelling on politics constantly can really get you down. I look at Drudge’s page each day, often shake my head and go do something else. Constant bad news becomes very depressing.
Enjoy the Christmas season for a bit.
International climate justice tribunal?
We will be ready....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJaMRTfjXBA
I know it does, but it will take an army of people to ‘fix it’. I have to go out and do some Christmas shopping now. Take a look at my slideshow and have a laugh on me;

There was an on-air offer to get rid of the Saddam Hussein problemo in Iraq years ago for a modest amount of cash - compared to what the USA spent - and is still spending
But Hussein’s sure replacement would cost would cost triple that figure -
Still a bargain -

I guess I don’t understand what that’s about.
