It’s north of where the earthquake hit and a little bit south of the large island of Espiritu Santo.

There’s a large volcano on one of the islands also.

From ~28 km deep at main shock to 56+ km at 5.0 aftershock. Consistent with subduction.

So terrifying in perception, so necessary to our existence.
