Authorities have identified the gunman in Tuesday morning massacre at the Carson City IHOP as local man, Eduardo Sencion.
Three people have died, five have been identified as National Guards personnel.
Sencion, 32, died soon after the massacre from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
According to officials 11 people total have been treated for gunshot wounds.
The gunman worked in Carson City and lived in Lake Tahoe.

According to the story, the crime lab is still trying to determine that.
Heard on national news that perp had “valid driver’s license,” which doesn’t mean much in states that give “valid driver’s licenses” to illegal aliens with “proper ID.”
A quick ixquik search shows Sencion as the name the other news outlets are using.

I haven't been able to determine that yet. Here in the Southwest, I'd surmised most of the illegals are Mexican due to proximity of the border.

Yeah — or just simply drank themselves to death. That used to be the more polite way of doing yourself in.
Unfortunately, military men in uniform are almost always going to be unarmed. You wanna know why? Because, it is a felony to bring a private weapon onto a military reservation. These men and women were in uniform, so they most likely were going to or leaving the base, in either case, by law they are disarmed. This is a travesty of justice just like the Fort Hood case. We must contact our representatives and urge them to pass a law that military personnel and civilians with a concealed carry permit be allowed be armed while coming on a military base. Once they are on base they can either stow their weapons in a 24 hour accessible armory or lock them up in an approved container in their car.

How freaking hard can it be to determine if the thing is semi-auto or full auto? Insert fully loaded magazine, point down range, move safety to Fire position and pull trigger. Should take more than 10 minutes after they get weapon; insure barrel is clear and do above. JEEZ
WAIT!!!! Maybe they need to the BATFE to show up with shoe lace first. That must be the delay. Only the BATFE is qualified to determine if a weapon is full auto or not. MY BAD

I go to my local PO pretty regularly, and the passport line is always full of families of folks I will never believe are all legal.

Hell, if they don’t want to do that surely they have qualified gunsmiths that can disassemble it and see if it is set up for auto fire.
At the local news conference Sheriff said Eduardo had three guns, but only fired one. The other two were a pistol and an assault rifle.
The one he used was an AK-47 “variant” according to the cop.
And, he was an immigrant from Mexico with a valid US passport and a NV license.
